zombie health bug

Brief Description:
i think this happens with all smite V swords but with my smite V knockback II diamond sword it says the zombies have no health left when they are still alive. this has been annoying me lately, lol

Instructions:
1. find a zombie in the mining world
2. hit it with a smite V diamond sword
3. look at health bar over head

How many times did you recreate this bug?: every time i use that sword it happens

Result: it will take 2 hits to kill even though technically it says the zombie is dead.
Expected Result: for the zombie to have atleast half a heart left or just die

This also happens with zombie pig men, which after I hit can hit me off a cliff in the nether and make me die -_-

 

Glad I'm not the only one who is having this issue
