Minecraft Username: Belleana Brief Description: When I place a sponge, the water gets sucked up, but then it comes rushing back like a sponge was never used even when the sponge is still placed. Instructions: Place a sponge and watch what happens. How many times did you recreate this?: Several times in different worlds. I also restarted my launcher to make sure it wasn't just me. Result: Each time, it doesn't seem as if the sponge is working properly. Expected Result: The water to be sucked up and not come back. Evidence:
Pretty sure this is literally how vanilla works. Please try in vanilla and tell me your results. If the results are the same, please file a suggestion, we'll definitely look into it.
I've contacted our developer to fix this and revamp sponges once and for all. Will provide an update soon.
Water sponges have been completely re-vamped and custom coded by us. They now follow the same mechanics they do in the nether, and properly clear water permanently.
