I was breaking some signs to try to fill my inventory with some blocks and I'm 99% confident that I broke a sign with 81 diamond blocks, with only one slot open in my inventory (which was correctly filled), but the sign completely broke and the remaining 17 diamond blocks went who knows where.

Is there any way to look into this with no proof? Shouldn't the 17 blocks remain in the sign?

I'm not worried too much about the 17 blocks - I'm more worried about it happening again to a more substantial amount of anything. I'm also worried that I'm losing my mind, but I've broken a lot of signs in my day...

That does seem similar. Maybe it's only when the remainder is less than a full stack? I broke a few other signs with zero issue, but those signs had many more stacks in it, and the dblock sign only had the remainder of 17.

    Thanks for quick response!
