After looking at the sheep in the area, I was able to replicate what you have stated, I have also tried to replicate this issue by using multiple fresh stacks of sheep and was not able to, the issue only seems to be present with this stack.

I have murdered (in cold blood) the sheep that were causing the issue, and have left you some sheep spawn eggs to replace what was killed.

 

All my sheep except for 91 at this location are gone. This is my herd btw

 

There were over 300 sheep in 3 stacks where this report happened. Now there are 91 in 1 stack

 

The location where this report was made had 3 stacks that totaled over 300. In 3 stacks. Now there are 91 in only 1 stack there. Most of the sheep are gone.

 

I can confirm there were 3 stacks totalling over 300 before the issue

 

Sorry for the long reply, when I was at the area I could confirm that there was 300+ sheep present, I have added more sheep to bring the total in the area to 300ish. Let me know if you run into any issues.
