    Brief Description:
You can now rename another users owned item using an anvil

    Instructions:
    1) Get an owned item.
    2) Rename the item using an anvil

How many times did you recreate this bug?:
Twice, once with '/anvil' and another with a normal anvil.

    Result:
I was able to rename a stone pickaxe owned by @Bashdash100.

    Expected Result:
I expected to be refused access when renaming, and have the item thrown onto the floor.

    Evidence:
These three screenshots shown below show the process of me renaming a stone pickaxe owned by @Bashdash100.

As an enthusiastic debugger of /own there is something I'd like to have confirmed...

Does it work absolutely every time or only sometimes in rather random alternation?

So far I have only seen it used to name /owned tools, not rename. Can you rename an /owned tool if it has been named at least once?

From what I tested it seemed pretty consistent in allowing me to change it each time. I will test it some more when I'm online :)

Edit: I have tested this some more, and yes I am able to rename & name any owned item first try without any problems.

Yes this also allows you to rename as well as name.

Intended. I decided to allow this to make anvil services easier.
