Result:
Boots and book combine for a few seconds, but lagged back to their original forms. This was directly after a restart, and therefore not a problem of blocklag.

Expected Result: Book would combine with the boots, creating fire protection 4, feather falling 4 boots.

Yeah, even now I can't combine certain armor pieces with books. :/
