Brief Description: /cnd all diamonds and emeralds condenses singles to singles rather than blocks
Instructions: I used /cnd all when holding diamonds, emeralds, lapis, rsDust, coal, gBars, iBars & gsDust
How many times did you recreate this bug?: 2 out of 3 times
Result: -
1st try was right after the 1.9 update
2nd try was about a week later and it condensed into blocks
3rd try was on 4/9 and condensed to singles again
Expected Result: Diamond & emerald blocks instead of singles
Evidence: Loss of single diamonds and emeralds as /cnd all seems to result in the proper number of diamond and emerald blocks only there are singles instead of blocks in my inventory after using the command. lBlocks - rsBlocks - coalBlocks - iBlocks - gBlocks - Glowstone & Brick Blocks all condense appropriately...

If yes, a full inventory will hold the single items because they were previously in there, but blocks lack the space and are dropped. This has worked every time for me since 1.9 came to ECC, unless I am misunderstanding your bug report.-

I believe your logic here is that if all 36 inventory spaces are taken up by singles when I use /cnd all the blocks are created but have no additional inventory slots to go into thus they are dropped.
/cnd all is not causing diamond and emerald blocks to drop, rather only the diamond and emerald blocks are not being created - there are no blocks dropped on the ground in the area which I am standing when the command is used. Additionally the other gems are being formed into blocks without issue both times I have run into the issue. Perhaps the command does work as you've described by condensing emeralds and diamonds first and without open slots they vanish into thin air opening up an empty slot from which the rest of the gems have slots to go into. If this is indeed the way the command works perhaps a disclaimer to only use the command with an appropriate number of open slots would be in order.
I will use the crafting table for now on and hope that someone will look into this further, it is rather annoying to see only a few diamonds and emeralds in my inventory after seeing a stack or two previous to using /cnd all. -
Yes I can afford to lose these gems, on the other hand I am not looking to do so any more. I have described this to the best of my ability in saying that with a full inventory of various single gems, a pick and shovel in inventory I use the command /cnd all with a stack or two of emeralds and diamonds and the result is no blocks of either, yet the other gems form into block without issue. I can't imagine seeing me lose more blocks in this fashion in a video will be any more useful than this. If no one else is having this issue then lets put it to rest... I won't be foolish enough to try it again and neither should others unless they enjoy disappointment.

Try again with two stacks of diamonds and 2 stacks of emeralds then throw in a full inventory of any other single gems you like as I described... Perhaps you might notice it then, but start with a full inventory. If that doesn't work try just one stack of each and a full inventory of other gems. Thanks for looking into this.

To answer your question - no there were mostly empty slots in my inventory after using the /cnd all command. As I explained most of the gems condensed correctly, the only issue was that 1-2 stacks of diamond and emerald singles did not turn into blocks, the only diamonds or emeralds left in my inventory were 3-5 singles of each. I had 1-2 stacks of both diamonds and emeralds in my inventory along with all other slots filled with singles of various other gem singles a star pick and shovel too. I typed /cnd all and poof no diamond or emerald blocks, only 3-5 singles of each remained in inventory. If you can't duplicate it then no worries, I only wanted to bring this to your attention in case others were experiencing the same thing. Lets just call this "The Curse of Hiccabup" and lock it please...

Okay, I found the bug. Condensed blocks no longer drop if there is no space for them in your inventory.
Also, help and support threads are not locked.-

Sounds like the /cnd command is prioritizing the emeralds and diamonds first, and because you have less than a stack of each, it drops the blocks (which then disappear like the auction bug), and then it goes on to condense the rest which you have multiple slots of, and therefore have room for. This isn't a diamond/emerald issue. You are just seeing it related to them because of how few you have of them.
When condensing, you need an empty slot to put the blocks after they are condensed. If you have a full inventory and you are condensing less than one stack, if there are any left over... the left over stays in the slot and there is nowhere for the blocks to go. So they drop and due to 1.9 issues, they are being lost.
@priMELval isolated it pretty well in her pics. -
Tah-dah!!! Hiccabup isn't going crazy... But, then again, I probably was already there XD
Until further notice do not condense single stacks with a full inventory / no empty slots for these items to go into. Thank you for figuring this out for all of us priMELval <3-

This seems to be the same issue with the Trade Signs. @andrewkm. Not correctly reporting inventory full.
