Description:
Ran /is to create an island, did not work. Error message: "No more island resets allowed for your island!". Ran /is cp and clicked the grass block saying "Go to your island", error message occurred as a result stating "You do not have an island". How can I not have island resets for "your island" if I do not actually have an island to begin with? This renders me unable to play skyblock for the time being, and I do not even think, to the best of my knowledge, I used an island reset ever to begin with, which shouldn't matter as I am not even trying to reset an island as I do not have one. This began when I joined skyblock server and found myself on Koko's "old" island apparently, supposedly he left it a bit ago and made a new island (which sucks for all my crate loot as everything here is "island protected", but that is besides the point), also there seems to be chunks missing on this abandoned island. Not sure if it is intended to not be possible to create an island should the island leader leave and leave its members needing a new one out of luck. Also tried going to spawn, disconnecting and rejoining and making new island, no effect.
Instructions:
1. Have your island leader leave the island
2. Run /is to try making a new island
3. Fail to make new island
4. Optional, do /is cp to confirm whether or not you have an island by clicking grass block to teleport to your island should you have one, and also fail in the process.
Result:
Did not create an island from running command /is
Expected Result:
New island to be created after running command /is

To my knowledge, a reset is used when you join and leave an island.

When I left koko's Island, I too ran into the same issue trying to start my own. I contacted Jamie directly thinking this was a bug too, but was told this is intended, you lose resets when you join and leave other’s islands. I assume this is to stop people from island jumping. Jamie further explained that if I wanted to start my own island, I had to pay $15 and buy more island resets. I did and have my own island now.

@pokeball92870 please find a place on our wiki to insert information regarding island joining/leaving counting against your resets.
@Kirito32 I have PM'ed you regarding your issue. -
To make this more clear, I have added this to the acceptance message when getting invited:
And to the leave message:
