Beware Of Duped Items

There is no way you can say someone is duping. Unless you had a million pieces of redstone dust, this is a server, there are thousands of people 24/7 hacking away at it, gaining new ores.

 

You need to l2dupe, yo

 

The way I mine, I get almost a full stack of diamond ore per trip that fills my inventory. If I REALLY focused on mining hard, I could easily get 500 diamonds day after day. I don't use xray and I don't dupe. I just have level 750ish mining; Eff 5, unb 3, ST pick; Eff 5, unb 3, ST shovel; Pyro Plus (so, I can ignore lava); and e-repair ability. I just sell all the stone and dirt and gravel and junk like that. I rip through a long tunnel with super breaker and then go collect stuff I found by making that tunnel. I just don't work that hard at getting diamonds because they aren't that great for money and I don't need money that much. But, I could get my hand on large amounts of stuff. Heck, you should see my 1/2 scale replica of the Chicago Sears Tower, which is made out of 22k obsidian. Of course, i did get most of that obsidian prior to the change in how super breaker works. But, just having a large amount of something isn't a good indicator that the person is a duper. They could have been saving it for a long time waiting for a turn in the market demand for the item.

 

Shotgun, when your president, i think you'll understand how stinkin horribly rich and greedy () they are.

I understand you meant to contribute to the ECC community. But saying we dupe and xray is not exactly the nicest thing. The fact is yes, there will be xrayers and dupers but those (I hope) are in the minority. Duping is not something that is a big deal as many ECC members such as my self will report it immediately if they found such a bug. Now I tink you should all give Shotgunboy a little respect and some understanding. Please calm down as it seems to me many of you were simply waiting for the chance to put someone down. I do not believe there is need for this thread however as there is a sticky regarding the reporting of dupe bugs.

Sorry if there are grammatical mistakes. I'm tired and doing a massive French essay so don't blame me. Just thought this matter needed addressing.

 

If it were to happen, it would be reported and a major rollback would happen. So ultimately, buying duped items doesn't matter if the culprit is caught.

 

Buying them knowingly does matter as you are benefiting the person abusing the bug and you should report the person directly to andrewkm or wewinagain.. However buying items oblivious of the fact that they are duped is not a bannable or un-ethical thing to do as you did not know.

 

Yes, i agree with you, but shotgunboy doesn't know how rich people can be. He's only a builder, and I'm only trying to show him that on a massive economy server there are massive amounts of items. The richest presidents have so much stuff that anyone who saw it would have the words "dupe glitcher!" come to mind. But they didn't dupe, they got all those items legit.

Shotgunboy, yes, warning people not to dupe glitch is a good thing. But your understanding of how many items is actually suspicious is lacking slightly. Ask a pres for a view of the inside of their "vault", you would be surprised. I've seen a presidents vault before, it's legit, believe me.

 

To add onto this, they make millions off of farming and can just easily buy them from builders.

Well we are not be negative simply providing constructive feedback.

I have a massive storage area. All my stuff and I have double chests full of stuff like redstone, iron and diamonds. I don't dupe but just hoard my items in case I ever need urgent money.
