I am looking at buying anew smartphone. I currently have an old iPhone 4 and absolutely hate it. I am looking for an android upgrade. Two phones I am looking at now are the Moto G 2 and the Samsung Note 4. The downside to the Moto g is the 5 MP camera, the downside to the Samsung is the price ($300)
Anyone got input or other suggestions? Please leave input :)
PS: I like the note because I have huge hands and Samsung is a reliable brand, I like the Moto G because it is not expensive and has been recommended by multiple friends.
?
Which is a better choice?

I would say get the iPhone 6, or get a Nokia Lumia, they are quite nice phones :)

Small, poor battery life, want a change, back cracked while in Otterbox, microphone doesn't work, iPhone speakers in general aren't very good or loud.

Lol, the "old" iPhone 4 part. Up until recently I had an iPhone 3G, with an awful cracked screen. It was the oldest piece of crap of a smartphone, not gonna lie.
Anyway, I was in the same scenario as you, looking for a new android phone. I ended up going with the HTC Desire 610. It's not the most common smartphone, and not HTC's highlight smartphones like the line of HTC Ones, but it was a fantastic price off Amazon ($140, AT&T, no-contract) and is about the size of your typical new, big smartphone. Its biggest downsides are the screen resolution (only 540x960 pixels) and only 8 GB of internal memory (which can be fixed by buying a relatively inexpensive 32 GB SD card), but personally, that's not a huge issue, at least for me. I'd recommend it any day, as it runs great for a pretty good price.

I've had 2 hTc phones (Wildfire and merge) both glitched out on me so bad at time, they weren't useable and I had to remove the battery to reset them. Both! With a case on that's a hassle. So I went to Samsung and I've had a Galaxy S3 and S4. I dropped my S3 and cracked the screen, then my best friend's daughter somehow managed to drop it and totally obliterate the screen and it still works! The screen, the mic, the speakers, everything works fine, lol. I was due for an upgrade, instead of fixing the screen I just got the S4 and never been happier. :)
My niece loved her Note 3, but when she came due for an upgrade, she got the iphone 6+ and she said she loves it too! Never heard her have a problem with those two. She has tried just about every phone out there and always had issues, but the Note 3 and iphone 6+ have been great for her. I would personally go for the Note 4 as I'm and android/Samsung lover. -

At christmas, i upgraded to an iPhone 5c white edition, 16gb. It is extremely fast, it looks nice, battery is really good, i drop it sometimes and it just bounces like its made of bricks, and the sound is good, not to mention the camera quality, outstanding, downfall for the phone though = cost. It's quite expensive but worth, imo.

Seems like pretty much all new iPhones are too expensive... Android, on the other hand, is much more open-sourced and customizable, and there are far more options with Android smartphones. I vastly prefer Android over iOS. Sorry iPhone bandwagoners :p
