Adding on to what Ryan said. Normal users can only break disposal signs in the mining world. They shouldn't be able to break it in the mainworld though.
There is no way to protect spawners. All you can do is to buy as many mutihome donations as posible and find as many spawners as you can. I go though about 15 each mining world reset. I break any I do not own. Also matty is right the best option riht now is blaze farming with less people in the nether to stumble on your spawners.

I'm sorry I didn't know andrew removed all of these. He is such a meany. Anyways, I agree with matty. Getting a Spawner in the nether, is your best possibility. Less people on the nether, and no one would waste 20k to go around and breaking all spawners (Even their own). At least I think so . . . We live in such a strange society now days.
Your right. Everyone is such a meany now days. I'm changing my advice to: Get a spawner in the nether, where less people go to. Then, do what Burns (Old player) and I did. Destroy the whole nether fortress, and cover the spawner with nether rack and a mountain feel to it. As if it was generated like that. This being a lot of work, share the spawner(s) with one or two friends of yours, so that they help you do this hard job!
