Neverwinter -> a port city located along a winding river
Myth Drannor -> the city of woodlands, brooks and ponds

+1 to whoever knows what this is from and the famous characters that inhabit these places

 

It is true that its D&D. However, it is better known as a tabletop RPG (I know -> I'm super nerdy like that), and a whole slew of books (Forgotten Realms -> http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page) on the continent of Faerûn.
The only video games to come out of the franchise are Neverwinter Nights, and Baldur's Gate (as I know of).

Actually, Balder's Gate or Faerûn can be other names!

Purlieu/Purlieus (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/purlieus), but the meaning isn't anything fancy... xD It just looks kinda fancy and sounds funny. I imagine more royal forest (castle hidden in/behind one), desert castles, and elves living in.. magical forests or places when I look at the word. It also makes me think of cats. xD;
