So, Im getting into farming and I was wondering what the best crop is as far as profit and space is concerned. Im leaning toward wheat, but does anyone have any other suggestions?

Space-wise, pumpkins and melons take up the most space (entire towns). However, the majority of crops do nowadays. Netherwart and cocobeans may not, but they do not necessarily make the best money, either.

I have a 15x15 50 block high plot to farm so im going vertical. With this in mind, I dont think pumpkins or melons are feasible. So its down to carrots, wheat, or cocobeans? Which would you go with?
