Im about to apply for mayor but i need to figure out where to put my town. I found an area but people's buildings and chests are in that area. What do i do? Can i still put my town in that area? Also, how do i check if the posts are exactly 200 blocks apart?

As long as it's wild, you can still put your town there. We ask that you do your best to contact the owners of the buildings/chests so that they can collect their stuff. If they've been gone for a long time and you can't get ahold of them, you can make an LWC removal request in this forum, once your mayor application has gone through of course.

To make sure that the posts are exactly 200 apart, use the coordinates, which you need to make the application anyway. If your x coords are 4000 and 4300 then obviously it's too big. You should have coords that look like this (this is just an example):
    Post A: x: 400 y: 65 z: 400
    Post B: x: 200 y: 65 z: 400
    Post C: x: 200 y: 65 z: 200
    Post D: x: 400 y: 65 z: 200

You can check your coords by pressing Shift+F3 in game. If the difference between any of the x or z coords is more than 200, then it's too big. It should be exactly 200. Make sure that there's a sign post on each of these coords so that Andrew can select them when he does your application.
