(no, I wasn't being sarcastic, just adding that it is also hard to tell)

 

But do you need another forum for that? How helpful is that actually? Just click on the thread and see what the verdict is. In general, it will give more information than just skimming over how many threads they have in this forum.

 

The way I see it is if its easy to do and its easy to use by both staff and players why not have it? I agree we don't really "need" it but there is also no point in not having it.

 

How is it easier? It's adding more "work" to search, and more "work" to move to the forum, and it's something that can be done perfectly fine now.

 

If it is already easy, who does it need to be changed?

 

Also, unless I want to argue the verdict, I don't need all the information (if it is posted in the thread) that determined the verdict (IF that was posted)

I just need to know if they were guilty or innocent. Adding the verdict to the thread title when it is moved would allow us to search the archive for posts made by an individual, then count. It MIGHT take all of 15 seconds. If I have to read every thread to figure out what happened, I'm just going to look for complaints or ban appeals. At the moment, I just search for a) does someone have any ban appeals, b) why were they banned, and c) how many appeals they've written for the same ban-able behavior. Right now, if their name shows up a lot in the complaints / ban appeals directory, I stop right there. RO association is not something I do If adding an archive (and hopefully a verdict) that can show someone that has been accused 12 times, but proven innocent every time, I'm going to look at the accuser a bit closer than the accused. As someone that shows up in the complaint / appeal forum twice (one entirely specious last month, the other a "confession" of sorts from years ago), having both showing that they were both "dismissed" would be good.

Why do I want this extra information? I am not online for 5+ hours a day. When I AM online, I do not want to spend 1 second more than I need to to find the info I seek. If I need to reference a command, I can hit the wiki and find the info I need within seconds. If I need to research someone that wants to join my town, or buy something from me, or a potential building contract, etc. as it is, I need to do a 5-10 minute background check.

Yes, I AM that lazy Which is why I do not have purchase-able town plots for sale. Not worth the hassle.

So, I've hijacked Vintage's thread (about making a Staff responsibility easier) enough with the addon (add verdicts to locked complaints) to his suggestion. I considered my idea is an expansion to his, so a separate thread is pointless.

I, for one, think a separate archive of locked threads, would make the volunteer Staff's (and us peasants' *grin*) ECC time better.

How are they more viewable? You can tell if they are open or not by the lock icon next to the thread. If its locked, its closed, if its unlocked, its open.

If you are too lazy to click on a thread and scroll down the last italicized sentence, then I suggest you can think a bit: If you see a complaint, then you can see if they have an appeal. It honestly is not that hard.

Plus, if you just read in a thread title "guilty" or "innocent" well- What were they accused of? If guilty, you may want to check the evidence to see if they are trustworthy at all.

All of this can be done as it is now, there is no need to add this. The really only negatives is that its pointless and it wastes staff's time.

Do you honestly struggle to find threads that are not dealt with? Is it that hard?
