Clause 1 - Hacking and Hacked Clients

• Fly, speed, air build, teleport hacking, or any other types of hacks, are not tolerated. This includes x-ray hacking and x-ray texture packs. Using any unfair means (including glitches, bugs, and exploits) to get into server buildings is also not allowed and is unfair to other users.
• Using any clients, specifically hacked clients, which may allow you to gain unfair advantages as deemed by ECC staff is strictly prohibited.
• Users caught using any client deemed to be a "hacked client", as defined by and at the discretion of the staff, will be banned. There is no excuse for using a hacked client on EcoCityCraft whatsoever.
• Discussion of hacked clients is not allowed - we do not allow them, and therefore we do not discuss them.

Please explain in your own words what the rule(s) means: This rule means that users may not use exploits or hacks to gain an unfair advantage to other players.

Reason you feel you think you should be unbanned: I feel I should be unbanned because I wasn't trying to gain an unfair advantage. When I found the cave spider spawner, I had looked up ways to make an xp farm out of it. When I tested it out however, I wasn't able to hit the cave spiders through the gap in fence posts. I wasn't sure if i was just lagging or it wasn't possible to hit them through the gap because of an update or something. So, to test it, I closed minecraft, and got a client with a kill aura/attack modification. I tried it out and it seemed to work half the time and do nothing the other half. I did some more testing, and then went to bed. Apparently, I forgot to turn off the client, and someone found my spawner. I have not used the client on the server before, it was just to test the attack spots through the fence blocks. The only "advantage" over any other players I have gained, is that I got a few string faster than it would have normally took, and figured out where I can hit through the fences (Which isn't really an advantage anyway). It may have been killing other spiders, but I was standing too far away to collect the string anyway, so it isn't possible that I did it on purpose. Also, even though I had used a hack client knowingly, I didn't know it was this bad and would be taken this seriously. I have read through the entire list of server rules and know now exactly what is ok and not on EcoCityCraft. I would really like to be allowed back on, and hope this can be forgiven.
