Minecraft Username: OhMeSoDirty Reason: Trolling, Killing a Player with gravel. Counter-Reason: First off, I would like to say that the player never did actually die, and that I never "trolled" anyone. I was banned for "dropping gravel, player kill". It was in the wild, and I was under the suspicion that this was allowed in the wild as a mod told me "essentially anything goes in the wild". REFERENCE: Zeno's 4th screenshot in which he says "we are in the wild" in response to powner2000 complaining, also made me assume that what I was doing was not against the rules. I do apologize for this offense and promise it will not happen again. I am sorry powner2000 and Zeno, I will not disrespect these players or anyone else again. Evidence: Zeno's screenshots prove that we were in the wild and that I never actually killed him. Once again sorry. Thanks for the consideration, OhMeSoDirty
[Ban] OhMeSoDirty Banned for player trolling and trying to kill powner2000 with gravel multiple times. Straight from the ECC WIKI "Trolling gameplay / Common sense This rule is simple. Dont troll users away from the server in any way. Use common sense. Its that simple. No one likes users who make the gaming environment un-enjoyable to others. Be a good sport and a friendly community member please. Those who violate this to a heavy extent will be warned several times. If it does not stop, a kick/ban may be put in place." It is correct that powner2000 was never killed as i was able to kick and ban before enough gravel could be dropped. We were all just trying to have a nice time mining together. I base my ban on the above rule stated in the ECC Wiki.
he had droped gravel on me so i would die i had said "STOP!!!!" many times and he was saying he was not doing anything yet he was and he almost killed me when i said i found diamonds so i think he tried to kill me for the diamonds-powner2000's message
The screenshots make it pretty clear that powner felt harassed by whatever OhMeSoDirty was doing. Also, it's clearly a kind of harassment to kill players in a non-pvp area. After all, why have PvP areas if it were rule-compliant to kill other players anywhere. Most importantly, powner asked that OhMeSoDirty stop. The situation escalated until powner requested Zeno's assistance. If you find yourself interacting with a player in a way that results in a complaint to a mod, no matter how the situation seems to you, you are harassing that player. As far as "Anything goes in the wild", it makes no sense that all rules are void once you leave a town. consider this, were that true, players could run around using profanity in the wild, so long as they used proper language in towns. The only difference between the wild and towns is the legality of theft and griefing in the wild. Good etiquette should be observed at all times.
in response to this... i was not where you guys were and i just assumed that powner2000 was complaining that you were mining where he didn't want you to as i was preparing the mine shafts for everyone.
Unbanned. Take this as a major warning. Please do take note that there is a reason there is no PVP in the wild. Don't abuse things like this. Edit: Also, take note of some posts above. If someone needs a Mod, it generally means that no matter how the situation seems to you, you are still harassing them. Try to know when to stop to prevent this happening again.
