[Ban Appeal] FuryFudge

I think that fury should be unbanned with a reasonable temporary ban, and not be permitted back on the staff team for at least a year. (Or never)

I also think you should issue a formal apology to the player base.

 

Thanks for re-writing my earlier message! People are being dumb and passing on the hate they have for Obble onto Fury, so stupid.

 

As a staff member, you need to follow guidelines. You can't be a blue mod and play a GameAdmin's role, as nice as it might be. Scamming is a serious offense and effectively letting someone off for it isn't really taking the offense seriously. The evidence was obvious, and Stingy should have been banned right then and there. By letting him go, you enabled Stingy to scam more people, culminating in a ban and a month-long ban on appealing by Andrew himself. That obviously was not your intent, but by letting behaviors like this go, you're allowing them to flourish. When you are a Moderator, you should stop scamming behaviors as soon as you see them. Not only do they cause users to lose money, but they can often cause them to then leave the server due to their losses in EcoDollars/features/towns/etc. Mason may be OK financially, but several other users are not. When it comes to the person most responsible for the scams of StingyPvP, I can't help but point the finger at you.

You had fun while trolling and breaking not only staff guidelines but the rules themselves.. hmm, sounds genuine to me. Even if that Resident was @matrix_rep, it was still breaking the rules and for a staff member to break the rules they are expected to reiterate is downright shameful. You can have fun on staff (current VoE owner @eekelmo is a shining example of that), but you cannot and should not break the rules. They're there for a reason.

Then why did you stay on staff? If you can't handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. You had an obligation to pay back your loan, and by failing to resign, you willingly allowed users to get scammed hundreds of thousands of EcoDollars. A Moderator's job is to enforce the rules and encourage new players to keep playing, and there is absolutely no way that robbing a player of money is encouraging for anyone.

Also, I still think you need to tell the truth about the video. Even if you thought it was going to be filmed well in advance, as @Alannah_Raven said, why did you still participate? As a staff member, you should not be putting as much trust in Obble as you did. You should have stayed as neutral as possible, and sadly for you the consequence will likely be not being able to serve as a staff member for a good while, if at all. Saying sorry won't cut it for a good chunk of ECC. And I don't believe that it will cut it for staff either. I'd like to know what your plans are on mending your relationship with them, even though your return to the team is unlikely. More importantly - what are your plans on regaining trust within the community? You indirectly allowed almost every scam that has occurred recently, and needless to say, you have a steep mountain to climb if you want my trust back.

@FuryFudge should be given a second chance, but he must be given a punishment for what he has done.

He should have his bal wiped, and A long temp ban. Thats my thought.

 

Why was Fury given the chance to appeal here and Thcool is perma banned?

 

I think it's because THCOOL was involved with the loans whereas Fury was not... though I'm confused as well.

 

Pretty sure fury emailed Andrew and thcool hasn't yet. That's what I heard

This is all pretty stupid. First off, staff are suppossed to encourage people to play, along a guideline of rules to ensure the communities safety. As mush as matrix MIGHT have done to VoE, that is in NO WAY an excuse to do what obble did!

REVENGE GETS NOBODY ANYWHERE, EXCEPT THOSE FEW SECONDS OF PLEASURE. The long term effects of revenge is EXACTLY the outcome of this!

 

I agree with this, the only thing is that Fury still owes many people money (like me) and this would only make things worse.

True, he (and TH if he appeals, And eek) should responsible for helping pay back the scammed money, forgot about that

 

Knowing eek, he will most likely not hesitate to help fix this dilemma.
And that I can Agree 100% that all VoE should chip in and help solve this problem.
The money fury owes me will cause a domino affect if not paid back. It will probably lead to my demise, and yes, I was stupid enough to put MY OWN FATE into the hands of another player. Lesson learned.

Same. I looked upon all of VoE as good idols. I hope in the future I can do that again when all of this is sorted out. I'm all for giving chances to players

 

Oh, I see you took it seriously now! I'm not sure how I could have possibly thought that you were biased staff member who could have had anything to do with Obble and the dirty things he did.
Even if that didn't really happen and that was all a joke, it was in very poor taste and completely opposite of how a staff member should act... but hey, as long as you're having fun!

 

ive contracted th via skype and he told me that he sent an appeal yesterday shortly after fury. Unlike fury tho, he has not received any response yet.
