Clause 1 - Hacking and Hacked Clients
Fly, speed, air build, teleport hacking, or any other types of hacks, are not tolerated. This includes x-ray hacking and x-ray texture packs. Using any unfair means (including glitches, bugs, and exploits) to get into server buildings is also not allowed and is unfair to other users.
Using any clients, specifically hacked clients, which may allow you to gain unfair advantages as deemed by ECC staff is strictly prohibited.
Users caught using any client deemed to be a "hacked client", as defined by and at the discretion of the staff, will be banned. There is no excuse for using a hacked client on EcoCityCraft whatsoever.
Discussion of hacked clients is not allowed - we do not allow them, and therefore we do not discuss them.
Clause 2 - Multiple Accounts
Multiple accounts used by different people on the same internet connection/IP are allowed. (Contact staff to inform them first to avoid any problems)
An individual person playing on multiple accounts is allowed as long as no financial benefits arise from doing so, and no account belonging to that player are banned.
There must be absolutely no financial interaction between multiple accounts that you own if they are for the sole purpose of funding an "alt" account.
Your "main" account is the account that has been used on EcoCityCraft for the longest period of time, and that you are mostly known for. If you do not understand this part of the rule, it's best to simply avoid any interactions between accounts. This rule is enforced completely at staff's discretion.
Direct or indirect transactions (via /pay, trade signs, etc) are not allowed if they are financially benefiting your alt account.
If you have another account you wish to play on, and make money with, it cannot be used to fund other accounts.
Minor things such as paying an alt account for a rank upgrade through your main account is allowed.
Paying for absolutely anything on your main account with money from an alt account however is NOT allowed.
If any account owned by a player is banned, all the other accounts owned by that player will not be able to appeal until the account banned first has successfully appealed.
Exceptions may be made to this in certain scenarios such as inappropriate username bans.
If there are multiple accounts on the same internet connection/IP, either used by you or others, you must contact a member of staff immediately to inform them to avoid issues.
Users may be questioned for being on the same internet connection, or, in cases of suspicious activity and bans, immediately banned regardless of the reason for the same connection, to be appealed with an explanation.
Clause 3 - Exploits
Abuse of any exploits, bugs, or glitches can result in a punishment based on the severity of abuse. Those are unfair "advantages" that can cause major issues for everyone on the server.
When exploits are found, they need reported to the server owner immediately.
Being a good sport and reporting issues (mainly severe exploits) could benefit you more than abusing them would. Game play is to be kept fair for everyone.
Clause 3.1 - Server Exploits
Any user caught exploiting any feature or a part of the server will be severely punished.
As well, hacking into the server through any sort of illegal method will have your information forwarded to your local Police Department after your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is contacted.
Clause 3.2 - Economy Exploits
Any user caught severely exploiting the economy in any way without reporting the glitch or bug will be severely punished.
Exploiting the economy is any action that results in an unfair economical advantage to a single user or group of users, by means of a glitch, exploit or bug.
This also means that exploiting exploits that are known is against the rules. If you believe a bug, glitch or exploit has been reported and has not been fully fixed, please report this to the administrator.
There will be absolutely no chance of appeal for this sort of action.
Clause 4 - Automation
The use of any means to earn money without doing any work is prohibited.
This includes, but is not limited to, macromod scripts, autofisher mods, fully automated farms, and physical means to hold a button down while away from your computer.
Usage of automated means is allowed for MCMMO grinding, providing you are not generating money and are not afk (e.g. an autoclicker to train the swords skill on a player is allowed, an autoclicker to train the swords skill on a mob spawner is not).
If you are found to have used any kind of illegal automation, your relevant statistics/balance will be reduced and/or cleared entirely at the discretion of administration.
Be warned that we take this very seriously.
Clause 5 - Minimaps
The only minimap which is allowed to be used is the Official ECC Minimap. Instructions for downloading and installing the minimap can be found here.
Section 7 - World-Specific Rules
Clause 1 - Mining World
Using any means (including water and fire/lava) to grief any protected area in the mining world (which can include protected warps and the main Mining World spawn) is not allowed.
Legacy/Rising rules apply to all areas of the mining world, including trolling rules.
As the mining world is not PvP enabled, this includes rules about attempts to kill players in this world, no matter what the reason.
Please keep in mind that the mining world does not allow LWC locks, and therefore anything you leave in chests in that world is free for all.
Clause 2 - Nether & End
The only rule regarding grief in the Nether and End is to leave spawn intact.
Although all users can use TNT in the Nether/End, doing so in a location which will affect spawn can and will result in the loss of Nether and/or End access.
Clause 3 - Survival Games
All normal server rules that can apply to Survival Games carry over into this world. The most important of these are the Universal Chat Rules, which carry over into all SG chat channels including the local chat of Survival Games.
Users caught abusing exploits will be punished appropriately, most often with a fairly severe ban.
We ask that you properly report any and all exploits either in the Bug Report forum, or report major bugs directly to an administrator. We thank you in advance for doing so.
There may be times when you get stuck, or glitched out of the world. If you become stuck to the point where you are no longer in the game, you must get yourself out of the game using one of the following methods:
/sg leave and /sg join (depending on the type of glitch that got you stuck) will always take you back to the Survival Games boards in spawn.
If those fail, log out and then back into the server, and it will remove you from the Survival Games world.
Any action that disrupts the flow of SG matches will result in a kick from the game. This includes, but is not limited to:
Being afk in such a way that the game cannot end
Exploiting glitches in such a manner that it ruins the game for other players.
Getting kicked from the game will kick you from your SG game, and, multiple offences of needing to be kicked for these reasons may result in a ban.
Section 8 - Supporter & Feature Rules
Clause 1: Teleport and Teleport Plus
There is to be no abuse of our teleport feature.
If someone denied your request, do not spam them with further requests.
Do not teleport someone into a PvP area without previously informing them that the area is enabled as such.
There is to be no abuse of our teleport compass feature. If someone asks you to stay out of a specific area, such as their town, you are to obey their request.
Clause 2: Water and Pyro
Users who have the water and pyro features are not allowed to grief with those items in protected zones, including any and all spawn areas.
This includes attempts to kill people with these perks in non-PvP areas.
If caught you will immediately have those features removed from you and will face punishment on our server. This can include a rollback of your actions and a possible ban.
Clause 3: Stealth
If you are asked by a staff member to undisguise momentarily you must obey the order. They will only ask you if deemed necessary.
Griefing while mob disguised will be treated the same as if you were not disguised. Our anti-grief tools will still detect this and you will still be logged.
Engaging in harassment or excessive stalking while mob disguised is against our rules. We have commands in place to detect this. If you are caught doing so you will be warned and punished as necessary.
You may not use mob disguise in order to PvP unless previously agreed upon by both parties.
Bypassing our rules against PvP in disguise by using potions is not allowed.
Clause 4: Multihomes and /back
Do not abuse your ability to set your homes or back command in order to enter an area that you are not welcomed in to.
This includes, but is not limited to, protected towns, harassing other users, etc.
Any user caught abusing said commands to harass/stalk or cause any sort of grief for another player may face severe consequences.
Clause 5: Extended Creations
Any user caught abusing bridges/doors/gates in anyway, such as killing unaware users in peaceful areas to steal items/harass players, will face punishment and have the feature immediately removed with no refund.
In addition anyone attempting to lag the server by constantly toggling bridges/doors/gates will face the same consequences with a most certain immediate ban.
Clause 6: Extended Commands
Any user caught abusing the powertool feature that is a part of this feature in any way, such as spamming "/powertool pay bob 1" constantly, will face punishment and have the feature immediately removed with no refund.
As well there is to be no command spamming, such as binding the repair hand command to a shovel and using it. You are constantly executing the command by doing this thus spamming the console/log files. Bind your command, use it when needed, and clear it or use a different tool.
Clause 7: Investigator
The staff/admins will never act upon any user's investigation. This is for your own personal needs as town owners; etc.
Submitting any of your own investigative information into any complaint/grief report will cause it to immediately be locked/ignored.
Any user caught trolling in any way using the investigator feature will have it removed from them immediately and may face a serious ban from the server. Staff can see vanished users and will act upon any trolling.
Clause 8: Unlimited LWCs
This feature is for players who have more locks/items than their rank allows. Using your LWC locks on items that are not yours for the intent of trolling is against the rules, and doing so excessively will earn you a ban.
Clause 9: Fly+
Using Fly+ to PvP or to interrupt an ongoing PvP fight in the nether is against the rules and is an abuse of your feature; you may use it to flee from PvP. The purpose of this feature is to allow you to fly over the lava, get to high places and get places faster in the nether. Using it to harass other players isn't allowed and is not the intent of this feature.
Clause 10: Nickname(+)
There is to be no abuse of our Nickname or Nickname+ feature.
This includes, but is not limited to, having a nickname which:
Uses vulgar language,
Impersonates another player,
Note: Having the permission of the player who your nickname is impersonating does not allow you to use the nickname.
Amounts to harassment of another player,
Is blatantly spammy,
Is over 16 characters in length; or
Anything else which the Staff team deem to be inappropriate.
Refusing to change your nickname when requested to do so by a member of Staff may result in further action being taken.
Section 9 - Ban Information and Policies
Clause 1 - Punishments and Tempbans
All tempbans, regardless of length, may not be appealed. They will be automatically lifted when time has expired.
Clause 2 - Ban Requests
If there is an absolute need for your account to not have access to the EcoCityCraft server, you may request a ban in the Ban Appeals/Complaints forum.
This ban is automatically a 3 day tempban, not to be appealed sooner, and will not be extended for any length longer.
Ban requests are only to be used in times of absolute necessity. ECC staff do not issue permanent bans on request, only 3 day temporary bans.
EcoCityCraft staff are not responsible for things happening outside the server, and cannot be expected to moderate your life. If you need help outside the game, please visit the Getting Help section (See Section 4, Clause 9).
Staff will not deny a Ban Request, however, using Ban Requests often for trivial reasons may result in you being unable to request bans for a period of time.
Section 10 - General Forum Rules
Usage of the EcoCityCraft forums at ecocitycraft.com constitutes an agreement to these rules.
There is to be no flaming, raging, insulting, or disrespecting of other members. This includes attempting to prod a user into starting an argument with you or others, as well as just plainly attacking them.
Threads made for the sole purpose of raging/flaming another user or at the server in general are against the rules. The punishment for this is the thread immediately being deleted and a forum warning applied to your forum account.
Posts made for the sole purpose of raging/flaming another user or at the server in general are against the rules. The punishment for making a flame/rage post is for the post to be deleted and a forum warning applied. Multiple flame posts in a single thread will result in a thread ban of at least 3 days and up to a permanent thread ban.
There is to be no trolling, harassing, or attempts at annoying / prodding another user into breaking the rules or to a point where they feel uncomfortable/necessary to get staff involved. Should staff deem your post trolling or harassment, you will immediately receive a forum warning and possibly a forum tempban.
There is to be no abusing of any forum features
There is to be no threads created solely to ask for ratings. ('Give me ratings for x' or 'Rate me to enter this contest') Any threads created for that purpose will be deleted.
There is to be absolutely no posting of personally identifiable information (Name, Address, Email, Phone Number, etc.)
There is to be no re-creation of locked threads.
There is to be no posting of any sort of phishing, inappropriate websites.
There is to be no spam. This includes posting threads in all CAPS.
There is to be no account sharing. Multiple accounts are not allowed. If you would like to change your username to match your minecraft username, contact a gameadmin+.
There is to be no sharing of private messages without the expressed permissions of the sender. (Unless it is exposed to staff due to an inappropriate private message.)
There is to be no posting of pornography, gross stuff, or anything else which is not safe for work.
There is to be no discussion of Piracy, Warez, Leaked content, Cracked minecraft accounts, etc. Keep it legal.
There is to be no discussion of hacked clients, hacks, or other programs that are illegal in game (Nodus, autofarming, etc.).
There is to be no soliciting, auctioning, selling, advertising, referrals. (Unless related to EcoCityCraft in our advertising section).
There is to be no racism, discrimination, drugs, alcohol, religious, political and other topics which are highly prone to flaming/debatable and most of all highly arguable discussions.
There is to be no threads/posts made which focus purely on "raging".
There is to be no back-seat moderating, or “minimodding". Let moderators do their jobs.
We do not deal with goodbye threads. If you are going to leave please don't tell the world in public, and if you do, don't expect the conversation to be dragged on. We hope to see you soon and we enjoyed playing with you! =)
We do not deal with "Why did <username> receive <punishment>. Use the search function. If you can’t find why a user was tempbanned/banned for example, then that’s that. Do not make threads about it. It causes unnecessary arguments.
There is to be no [youtube] BBCode within signatures. Doing so will earn you a temp forum ban.
There is to be no spamming with @ tags in posts. Only tag/mention someone using the @ tag if they are seriously needed in the thread.
There is to be no "necroing" of threads, which includes the following criteria:
Bumping a thread that has not been posted on in over 2 weeks, unless the content of the thread has become relevant to be opened for discussion again.
Bumping a thread that has not been posted on in over a week in order to flame, troll, or cause a problem.

Section 11 - General Discord Rules
Usage of the EcoCityCraft Discord server constitutes an agreement to these rules.
Remember that Discord and minecraft are composed of many different age groups. Talking about inappropriate subjects in any way around minors is prohibited. Use your common sense. If you see that there are children in the global channels and your topic is inappropriate, stop. In addition, ask those who may be engaging in these discussions to stop as well. It is your responsibility as a community member to step up.
Avoid constantly cursing for no reason in our non-password channels (As well as all channels if the age group is young). Yes, this is a voice server and rules are hard to enforce, but think about others and the way they may feel about it before you belt out a string of foul language into your microphone. This will be taken as spam and you will be acted upon.
Explicit topics related to anything abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated, drug related, religious, political material including any other material that may violate any laws be they of your country, the country where the EcoCityCraft Server is hosted or any International Laws are prohibited.
There is to be no discussion of Piracy, Warez, Leaked content, Cracked Minecraft accounts, etc. Keep it legal.
There is to be no abuse of any Discord members in any way including harassing/provoking others.
Do not log in and out of Discord rapidly. This is spam.
All users must use their full in game minecraft username at all times.
No user may use a voice changer on Discord for any reason.
If you plan on changing channels a lot, for some strange reason, tell a Moderator. Otherwise, it’s viewed maliciously.
Do not post comment links that are inappropriate. You should have a fair idea of what is allowed and what isn’t. If it is offensive in any way, avoid placing the link in your comment.
The ECC Discord is for playing the ECC server only. Other Games channels are to be used exclusively for other games. Playing other minecraft servers (including other games like Tekkit that are based on minecraft) using our Discord is against the rules, except in cases of major ECC server downtime (6+ hours.)
It is strongly recommended that members avoid posting personal pictures or links to personal profiles on Discord. If you do, be aware of the consequences.
Do not, under any circumstances give out personal information. This includes, but is not limited to, addresses, phone numbers, or anything that could be used to inflict harm outside of the Discord server. If you do this, you are doing so at your own risk.
Never give away any passwords, credit card numbers, etc on Discord. EcoCityCraft administration will never ask you for this information.
All comments and public text chat are to follow all the chat and Discord rules. This includes staff impersonation; you cannot set your comment to (mod) or other staff tags to pretend you are a staff member on Discord.
Moderators reserve the rights to insta-ban people if they see suitable, not all offenses deserve a warning. If you have been banned you must appeal in our appeal section on www.ecocitycraft.com.
Staff members will act immediately upon breaking any of these rules. Our Discord is a very strict user friendly area to communicate and hang out. Be sure to do so in a welcoming, rule-abiding manner.​
