I was banned recently for auto-click experience farming. It was wrong, and I filed an appeal (shown below) that asked for forgiveness and a second chance. The response from the Super Moderator was "Please appeal with more effort." The Super Moderator then locked the appeal.
I was raised under the impression that the sincerity of an apology was based on honesty and straightforwardness, not on length. I also would like to add that asking for forgiveness does take effort, even if that effort cannot be measured by the amount of keystrokes that it takes to do so.
The definition of appeal is "Make a serious or urgent request, typically to the public."
The definition of beg is "To ask earnestly for or of; entreat."
While appealing is done once and to the public, begging is done repetitively and (demonstrated by the homeless) to individuals or small groups. Consequently, I have concluded that this moderator has asked me to beg to remove the ban.
My response to this is: No, I will not beg you to remove the ban. And if it is not removed, I suppose I will move on.
As to the length of my request, my request is succinct because I read in the ban directions:
"When replying to a post that does pertain to you, keep it professional and to the point." In accordance with this culture for replies, I thought my appeal should follow the same format.
I'm sorry my appeal was not of sufficient length to be accepted. Perhaps this essay will testify to the sincerity of my apology.

The staff here at ECC strive to create the best community possible through helping users and policing the server. Our job is not to make anyone unwelcome or uncomfortable on any services provided by ECC. Our job is to help you have the best time you can on ECC, while not hurting others playing experiences.
Now onto your concerns.
This is standard protocol by ECC Staff. When you are making an appeal, it means you broke our rules, which you agreed to follow here and here. This means you did not respect our rules and hurt the server by either cheating it or our players of their fair gaming experience. When you make an appeal it means you would wish to petition us to come back to the server even after you hurt it by breaking a rule. We expect professional, polite appeals that look like you spent some time on them and were not done in 20 seconds.
The key word there is serious. We do not consider fast quick appeals serious enough for the nature of their request.
We have not asked you to beg, and we will not ask anyone to beg. Your first appeal did not follow the format we, as is our right, require to be unbanned. This is seen here. Your second appeal was not a “serious or urgent request, typically to the public." It was a request, but was not serious.
That all being said. This was a rather nice appeal in itself. If you remove the parts about begging and post this in the ban appeal complaint section following the format. I expect I will be seeing you soon.

We're not asking for you to beg, we're simply asking you to put more effort into it. Anyone can just say "I'm sorry", come back on the server, and then continue to Auto Click. We want more effort when it comes to Appeals, for we don't just let the users back on, and they continue what they were doing.
