Well, being used to Towny at the time, I had thought I could only be apart of one town at a time. I paid for a plot In Officetown but moved to clockworks and gave up my perms to officetown.
man, i just remembered, i was just starting and this president said "who wants 20k?" I was the first person to say "ME", so i got 20k, and i didnt realize that i could have gotten resident. so.... i wasted it on buying materials for my house, then i realized "crap... i could have gotten res........"
Well, I was a builder and wanted to buy a plot in a town, and I had like 7k. So I went through a town portal into a town that had the price of different plots labelled with signs. I proceeded o walk up to the signs and right click them like trade signs. I figured it must not be working because I needed resident, so I never joined a town as a builder.
I got $10 from Harry and I thought I was the richest person in ecc! I was so excited... But then, I fount that $10 is so low I couldn't buy a stack of dirt... Good times!
I Had 3k and I was trying to show that I was rich by buying plots That i did not use at all. And: I was working in a farm and I just got $25 for one stack
joining ecc... NO JK! im so glad i joined. hmm, not getting rez till like... 9 months after being builder.... xD
This is a great thread lol. Very fun thinking back to that time. Lets see. I remember seeing a Fort 3 Diamond axe in auction and nobody was bidding on it. 5000 starting bid which was a good price then. Doing a lot of mining, and having saved up a lot of cash I decided to buy it. I bid the 5k. I thought something was kinda weird cause he said going once, twice three times and sold very very fast ... But the rules are, you bid you pay and I still wasn't THAT sketpical. I was seeing all the money I was gonna make from that pickaxe. So I send him 5k and he tosses me ... as Im sure many have you noticed, I failed to say pickaxe originally ... my new fort 3 diamond axe :/ First thing buddy says to me was "You know thats useless right." I did and realized how dumb I had been. I scrolled up thinking he scammed me in the auction, nope. He clearly wrote Diamon Axe and I threw the word pick in there on my own. So I said something like, yes I do and you dont need to be such a d***** about it. Shouldn't have said that I realize but was very frustrated. Then he threatens to report me so I tell him to have go and have his fun, I need to farm money. I was not biting and continuing this useless convo lol. All day I looked for the report and it never popped up thankfully
I forgot one fail: I didn't knew what shout was. I was in the Ecc tutorial thing and I saw /shout on a sign. I didnt know that one shout was 1k. Well I shouted and I lost 1k- I quited for one week
