Clicking on plot signs that said 3k for 20x20 an wondering if my mouse wasn't working or if the server was messed up. It took me 2 weeks to figure out how to join a town.
I accidentally "donated" 5k to phiphiphi. I thought I was eating then I realized I was right clicking a sign then I noticed 5k was gone from my balance... Thankfully he paid me back later. I thought 5k was a ton back then so I probably would have rage quitted if he didn't pay me back. Lol
It really takes a mayor or a president to know what the term "rich" means eh? Am i right or am i right?
I remember that... Luckily I didn't really care to take anyone's money after getting scammed lately, so I just gave it back. I remember that... :3
As a builder...my biggest fail.... hard to choose over hundreds of them... Ok I got it. I tried using a creeper that just randomly spawned as a central pillar in a house sign I made in a town. (this happend about half a year ago) It worked, for 5 min. My friend punched him and set him off. lol
My biggest fail as a builder... hmmm... I didn't really have many fails at all. In fact, I was a builder for no more than 2 days and got mayor 6 days later. I can't even remember being a builder so much. I guess I'll just tell you a story of a lonely little builder. I first joined the server in the hopes of being a part of some massive war thing. I like sandbox massive war games. Anyway, I joined and learned as much as I could about the server from the forums. I then spent the next few hours looking for a good spot to start out. I built a home, a farm, found a cave to mine mats in, even some spawners that spawned nothing. I had a nice little island home away from it all (I traveled so far to get away from potential griefers and found the most coziest spot in the middle of nowhere). All of the towns and nations intimidated me because of the "wars" I thought would be raging. After spending a day of mining and farming on this glorious server with so much to learn and so many adventures that could be had, a mayor name Xacheiree made an announcement that he was selling plots for cheap. I talked to him, bought a plot, came back and packed up my stuff and went from a nice, quaint, quiet and desolate island to a bustling, loud town full of college students (like myself). We immediately hit it off and they let me farm in their pumpkin farm (best way to get money those days). I got RASADANT right away and shot for mayor. I think my biggest fail was leaving that isolated island when I later found out that there was a grand amount of diamond/lapis/redstone underneath it that I missed the first time. Could of had resident immediately. tl;dr = Hai, how are you?
As a builder I had too many fails. Even more fails as a resident. Anyway I will list all the come to mind; After buying my first plot within 5 minutes of being on the server I began building. At first I built a cosy small house and soon realised I needed 15k to become resident. So I came up with many money making schemes. I started by buying another 10x10 plot and making it into a 10x10x7 wheat farm earning me around $600 per harvest. I then soon enough went on buying 8 other plots in the same town. One was a hotel, others were farms, one a shop, and 4 of them were to build on an sell on. I had spent all my money on plots. The hotel business never got anywhere. It seemed the $250 per night for a 3x3 room was a little too much. The trade signs in the shop never worked (I only realised why once I became resident). Even if the signs had worked there was only me and 2 other people in the town so I probably would have made little money. I then went on to build the farms, the co-mayor placing the water for me. I returned only to find half of the farms griefed and I had no clue that you were able to report it. So I gave up. But I was adamant that my final scheme would work. I began building lovely houses to sell on. To finish all the houses took me 2 hours. I then advertised the lovely houses in trade chat and soon got a few buyers. I had found a buyer for each of the houses. Then I realised they needed perms. I contacted the mayor who then refused to give them perms. That was then end of my money making schemes as a builder. In 2 days all I had to show for my hard work was a few un-sellable houses, some griefed farms, a run down hotel and my small 10x10 house with 3 furnaces, a bed and a crafting table... If someone made a fails section for residents I could probably write a 3 page essay on my fails.
When I was a builder i had a massive house in the wild and i decided to make a huge roller coaster with a lot of power rails and then the next day it got greifed
