Spent all my money on a plot, build a farm, he then removed me for no reason, (he even admitted it) then destroyed my farm and didn't give anything back. He then said mean things about me in global, and i lost my home, as i set it at his town.
Hmm... I got scammed several times as a builder and a res but didn't think to take pics. Oh... stupidest thing I did... probably stupidest. I used to have a small farm in the wild with a lil wheat farm and I used to threaten builders with my diamond sword because I thought it was a pvp zone and thus perfectly acceptable to kill them if they touched my stuff. Oddly enough, no one ever tested me on that.
I was in my cave home, and after digging down I suddenly found lava. I think I did /worth and realized that each obsidian was $10 "oh! That's why everyone is so rich!" So I went back to the surface, used some iron I had to make buckets and got some water. 1st Try: Digging down, suddenly a very deep fall. Dead. 2nd Try: Dug down too much. Killed in lava within seconds. 3rd Try: I was tired of failing, so I went down slowly and carefully. Eureka! The lava lake is in front of me! I almost start announcing victory when suddenly..."Only users who have donated for Water may place it." I was frustrated at the limit, so I tried to see if I could do something to make it work. I found flowing water some blocks above and decided to connect it to the lava to make obsidian. Success. Though I remembered the fact that you need a Diamond Pickaxe to gather it, so I had to go to the market. Diamonds had a higher price back then, so I bought a Pickaxe for $250. And here we go again... 1st Try: Died in Lava when approaching the obsidian, silly mistake. 2nd Try: Had to buy another Pickaxe. Placed Cobblestone on the lava, Died After breaking some obsidian, forgot lava was still below it. 3st Try: Last Pickaxe I could afford, made sure I wouldn't die this time. I collected about 20 obsidian and went back to my home as there was no more to break, and the Pickaxe broke in the way. Waited patiently until I could use kit starter again, lost all my other tools in the first death. Daily Earnings: -$500. Selling Dirt to the server was definitely a better business for me...but oh well, I wasn't really sure about how enchantments or materials worked, so I thought, Who needs an Enchanted Diamond Shovel? The unenchanted stone one is doing just fine! TL;DR: Unsuccesful Builder is Unsuccesful.
Biggest fail: Getting scammed over 50K total thinking they would get me a donation feature, and also wasting all my money buying a bunch of plots in my first town and moving out a few weeks later.
My builder days were sad... - I went to the wild and started mining with a stone pickaxe. I made a saddening $200/hr for 75 hours to get resident!
when i was a builder i regret not talking to anyone i also regret that as a builder i had 100k. when i got res and had another 85k laying around, i did not realize that mayor was 85k, so i went on an enchanting spree and lost about 50k
Well, my biggest fail SO FAR, was shouting "THIS IS AN EMERGENCY BROADCAST: WAFFLES INCOMING!!!!!" I lose at life...
i had no fails at all as a builder... but some fun stories to make up for it! As a builder i got a plot within seconds of joining server. As a resident i bought extcommands from a builder, didn't get scammed at all <3
Bought like 4 plots... never used any of them... I built a house in the wild. I walked down the stairs and out and fell in a pit....
I had sold a guy stack of diamond ore for 5$ each.........this was when they were worth like 400$ each. when i found out i raged xD it took me 3 days of mining to get all that diamond ore not to mention my silk pickaxe broke during that mining trip. lol
My biggest fail as a builder was... none, i was just to lazy to mine and had no money to make a farm so i just asked around for jobs and said i was trying to raise 15k to become res. and someone gave me all 15k!
First off, only having 5 melon crops and waiting for them to grow then selling them and my first post on ecc. Laugh all you can, I am sure its not that bad http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/how-to-make-money-the-easy-way.7592/
