The only problem I had with what you had done, was that you didn't give credit where credit was due. I'm happy to see that you have owned up to your mistakes, and hope that you do indeed learn from this experience. Just as Welikeike has already said, there's no need for another apology. This one is more than enough for me.
One can be forgiven but as long as that spawn stands this will never be forgotten. All i can say is when i found the build on Google i was appalled, knowing you would do such a thing, you were so close to getting staff i could see it, then this happens, i could see the look on andrews face when we let him know about this, and it wasnt no smile it was the wtf look, we didnt think you would do such a thing, but here we are now, apology excepted. Cya in 12 days.
You sound like your a ten year old who just got into a fight.... Anyway Im sorry for my comment on your page yesterday and this apology really showed how much you cared about ECC. Youve had your occasional problems and even though this was a large one, you have been forgiven by me as well as many other users. We all make mistakes and we all learn from those mistakes.
I actually believed you when you told everyone in chat it took you over 5 days to make this build. I was astonished when I saw the screenshots and when andrew announced that you had won the spawn building contest. I was truly heartbroken when I logged on to hear people saying 'Blowtube is a fake' and 'Blowtube is a fraud'. I could not believe it. I looked on the forums and saw that andrew had posted a thread about you. Do not ever lie to any of EcoCityCraft again. Do not lie to me ever again. I do accept your apology.
Please don't lump the rest of us contestants in with your own opinion. I for one don't feel like my time was wasted, and I am a huge fan of the spawn that won.
Oh boo-hoo, your spawn wouldn't have won anyways. Learn to forgive, not hold grudges. Life isn't as good when there is hatred deep inside.
I was never mad at you, so you do not need to apologize to me personally. I instead require an apology from the ECC community! The actions of the community were reprehensible in the fact that they, on average, devolved into blood-thirsty cannibals bent on revenge. I concede that your actions were rather plagiaristic, but the community's reaction was WAY disproportionate.
I believe that there's quite a few hypocritical people in this conversation. First of all, the majority of you forgive blowtube, but are reacting in a very negative way towards those that haven't forgiven him. Yes, I will agree, I believe that what he did shouldn't necessarily be held as a grudge. Yet, I don't think that we should put down those users who haven't forgiven him. In order to resolve this kind of situation, we must all simply move on. What happened is done and over with. I personally encourage the rest of you fellow ECC players to try harder to put a more positive note in everything you do on this server. As for this situation, I encourage you all to accept what has happened and move on
I feel that if he didn't submit that, then anyone could have won. The judges would have spent more time in each of the other buildsand the results may have been different because of that. In that sense, anyone who had a chance to win had their time wasted. I think the strength of my build is its ease of use and consistent style, which are things that might take more time for someone to begin to appreciate. I can understand someone liking the spawn that we ended up with, but I can't fathom being able to look past the process that got us there. In this case, the ends do not justify the means.
You don't know that. That is like saying that a football game would have happened in such-and-such way if only this bad call by a ref hadn't happened. You'll never know what would have happened.
Did you get second place? No. There you go, I did know that. Tada. Second place would have gotten first if they had found out before all this curfuffel Also, soccer. (Unless you happen to be talking about our football... like the NFL)
99% of the time second place gets first in an event of "cheating" The other 1% is where whatever was happening gets shut down completely with no winners
