Having a few issues with the anvils not accepting tools or displaying a red x when tool is accepted.
was getting the tool kicked back but now it will place in anvil but not let you add any books to any tools. i have tried multiple tools and same results. issue has been going on since friday and was advised today to make a bug report. thank you

I am having the same issue, even with using /anvil. I can't combine a tool+book or two enchanted tools. I've tried shift-clicking, not shift-clicking, putting the items in all combinations; nothing has been working.

Had Karin check in game using these instructions and it worked. Anvils are very touchy on ecc. you have to place each item in not shift or double click anything. if you are using a book it's item first in the left box. Book second then you have to remove the item by picking it up and dragging it to your inventory. Again no shift or double clicking. Hope that helps you.

I do not see any issues with anvil or /anvil.
Please provide exact steps to reproduce this issue.
It may have been fixed in a recent update we had however.
