meaning donations have multiple types of medals, so why can't the same be for sg? they are both major parts of the server.
Simple, like SG point metals Donation metals are given upon reaching a specific amount of money donated like SG metals are for points. One is points the other is money. One metal per category.
but there will be 2 different categories of sg medals (wins, points) , yet there are ~3 types of donation medals (regular amt. donated, pet medals, promotion)
Yes but that is to make up for the lack of purchase for example the pet donation metals they are there to promote the user to buy more then their favorite pet or mob or to upgrade a forum account or rank which is different from in game or money metals. For SG the player gets more points for a win. The current system gives extra points to winners which helps them get the sword metals. The win metals and the point metals would just mirror themselves.
I'll have to -1 this Sure it would be nice to have more forum medals. But then you have users like myself and _kiwi_cat_ . I have 152 wins and 23k points. Kiwi has 191 wins and 120k points. Too big of a difference if you ask me. And I'm not even an avid SGer. As Lee said, this forum medal would be way to easy to achieve for people that play during off peak hours. Easy medals ruins the value.
Okay, so I'm going to play SG with a couple friends and every time me and a teammate both make it to final 2, I'm going to let my friend win to help him get the medal. Seem fair to you? We all know a couple of players who do this, and they would be one of the first to get this medal if it gets added.
Keep in mind, I said "sets of medals", not medals themselves. EG, 3 medals for SG, 3 medals for MCMMO, 3 medals for pets, 3 medals for spawn statues, 3 medals for collecting objects, 3 medals for ranks, lots of supporter medals (temporarily removed), 2 medals for lotto, and a couple assorted medals. When I say "1 set of medal", I mean not having different sets of medals, like 2 different sets of SG medals (one for points, one for wins). It simply seems redundant to award people for something they're already being awarded for.
