So before we get into the event, lets get a bit of a back story going here.
Jakeyray18, Physicistsmom, and myself, met in real life about a week ago. (The main purpose for this was to discuss upcoming forum changes, server changes, and to finally meet and hang out of course!)

During the course of this meetup we discussed many forum changes (all of which you are finally seeing unfold in front of you), as well as server changes (which have yet to come).

One of the main topics of discussion was indeed the Stock Trader and Sports Book additions to the forum! Anyways, lets get to the point, fast forward a bit past all the forum/server discussion, Jakey and I decided to go and relax a bit at a local bar one night. We hung out, discussed several real life topics, and so forth. We eventually started talking about sports. This somehow spiraled into us joking about how we should fight as our exclusive server event. A couple drinks later, we eventually got in quite a heated (but friendly of course) discussion about who would be the winner in a controlled boxing environment. Just under an hour later this spiraled off into the best idea ever. Why not rent out a ring at a local gym in Chicago and stream the event for all of ECC to bet on (assuming our Sportsbook plan/release works). We both thought a bit but instantly agreed it must be done.

Now before we set this up we had to ensure a few things:
- All these forum changes go through perfectly and work (Mainly Sportsbook & Bank)
- - Hence the recent madness you've seen in releasing these forum features.
- The local gym we were thinking of had space available / would agree to do this.

Finally, a week later, we're happy to announce that not only are the forum changes working just wonderfully, but the local gym has agreed to host our little boxing match. (The fee has already been paid for by Jakey and I.)

So without boring you anymore with back stories and so forth, lets get right to it.

Event Details:

Date: Saturday April 11th - 6:00 PM CDT
Location: Calumet City Illinois (Just south of Chicago)
Stream Information: Will be streamed via twitch. We will have a two angle setup on site thanks to our awesome friend Daniel K. from Mount Pleasant Michigan who will be making his way down to the event.
Ticket/Attendance information: Ticket/Attendance/Gym information will be released Friday, April 3rd. There will be absolutely no cost to attend and the owner of the gym has agreed to let us and our crowd use the facility until 10:00 PM that evening.

Sportsbook betting: Wagers are open and available at 0.90 odds per fighter. We got into quite a heated argument as to who should be favorite so we decided to simply make all odds at 0.90. (Which means 0.90 ECD per 1 ECD bet) Below you will find both fighters' stats.

Fight information: The fight will be conducted at a local gym with two local experienced boxing judges (Nathan L. & Richard T.) - Event will be in a controlled environment using boxing gloves, head gear, and a mouth piece. It will be a 12 round standard boxing match up. At the end of the 12 rounds winner will be chosen by the judges. Should there be a knock out or tap out; that will end the match and the man standing will be the winner. Pretty basic =)

Fight unfortunately has been cancelled due to April Fools! <3 Love you all!
