Lava can't be placed so no one can grief (not counting the nether). Cactus was banned, since it caused lag and was unfair for farming.. And you can make water requests on the forum. :)

 

Zadd you haven't player multiplayer that much have you? NO ONE is allowed or can place lava except for andrew due to obvious reasons of randomly putting it in houses and making player traps. Water isn't allowed because it can be used to grief tracks and no grief detection system can track that. Cactus was taken out of the due to people making huge cactus farms like 6000+ per hour and lagging the game. Everything was taken out because people went to far with it on the test map. Blame them not the people who are trying to make a good experience for all the players. Yes, they fixed the bug that they don't duplicate, but Andrew is trying to make it so they cant push reeds for obvious reasons. We don't want them banned as well do we?

Also Mods can place water, just go to the water request forum and follow the template and we will place it.

 

Just make a water request... And you'll get some placed for you o.o
