-1 your responsibility to keep the tool id handy. when you /own a tool, it warns you to save the id.

 

Screenshot your tool ID with F2, locate it via pressing the Windows Key + R, type %AppData%\.minecraft hit enter and then locate the screenshots folder.
Copy the relevant screenshot(s) onto your desktop/other memorable location so that you always have them. If you're worried about losing them, stick them on a USB as well.

As has been said on previous suggestions, losing tools can be good for the economy. Use the method above to make sure you always have your tool ID handy.

 

This is possible. Just not probable, and an immense amount of work.

I don't see why staff should be obligated to spend hours tracking a tool if you can't spend seconds writing down an ID.

 

The /own system utilizes a "Your tool, your responsibility" policy. While SA+ are there to help retrieve items, it is not their job to cover for your mistakes. To locate a tool based on username would require a complete overhaul as to how the /own system & tool recovery process works, which is extremely unlikely to happen.

There probably could be a decent way to create a database of owned tools by username and have a custom command for SA+ to see which tools are /own'ed by any player. Might not be worth the time investment though.

 

-1 I’ve lost tools before to my own incompetence and it sucks, but it’s part of the game and as has been previously stated a part of a healthy economy, screenshot your tool IDs.
