    SUGGESTION:
So my suggestion is that a /nick example be added to the Wiki. Like an example of how to format the words and colours to make it easier for users to understand the Bukkit Color Code.

    REASON:
Reason being that players could be given a link to an easy to understand example of how to use their /nick feature. This would help greatly for those buying SkyGod and Skylord or just regular nickname and nickname+. I'm suggesting this because the other day someone was asking about how to format their nickname and how it works and another player and I had to explain ingame how to use the color codes. This is doable but it would be nicer and simpler if there was an example I could link them to.

Is /help colors not a thing anymore or does it not quite include the information you were looking for?

Perhaps, although in the wiki article we have currently have there was no mention to /help colors that I saw. Even so, it'd be easier for someone to look at if it wasn't in-game.

Personally I disagree on the "it'd be easier", I think ideally the best info should be available in game.

Regardless @pokeball92870 probably should make the wiki edits since I really don't see harm in it.

I can understand why you'd think that, I just think, personally, that's it's easier to look through something on a different tab, instead looking at something through the chat, as chat can move pretty quickly sometimes. :)

Chat doesn't move quickly on ecc, if we're being honest. Plus, you can scroll in chat if you need to keep it on for longer while you are formatting your nickname.
I think the ideal fix is just putting something about using /help colors into the nickname wiki

Yes, but it wouldn't hurt to have an example. And there are sometimes when chat moves quickly, in my opinion. Also, I personally hate having to scroll up through the chat to keep reading something. :p but that's just me.

Your suggestion has been heard loud and clear. A new page has been created!
    https://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/wiki/formatting-nicknames/
    (ta-da!)
    Formatting Nicknames

The TinyURL for this page is http://tinyurl.com/eccnicknames.

Nicknames are alternate names that ECC players can give to their users. These names replace your username in chat before your message and can only be used by players who have it as a supporter perk.

    Command Usage(top)

To give yourself a nickname, use the following command.
    • /nick <nickname>
To remove your nickname, use the following command.
    • /nick off

    Formatting Nicknames(top)

Depending on your supporter features, you can change the appearance of your nickname in numerous ways.

    Minecraft Colors(top)

You can change the color of your nickname and you are not restricted to using only one color code. To use color in your nickname, use the formatting code of &<color-code> in your nickname. Anything to the left of the first color code (including the ** prefix, which is applied to all nicknames) will have your rank's default name color.

The following colors can be used for color codes in nicknames:

    &0 Black
    &1 Dark Blue
    &2 Dark Green
    &5 Dark Purple
    &6 Gold
    &7 Gray
    &8 Dark Gray
    &a Green
    &b Aqua
    &d Light Purple (Pink)
    &e Yellow
    &f White
    &3 Dark Aqua
    &4 Dark Red
    &9 Blue
    &c Red

You can use Minecraft color codes and hex color codes in the same nickname
When formatting a nickname with both color and format, make sure you always put the color codes first, then the formatting codes.

    Hex Colors(top)

Hex Colors are only avaliable for Nickname+ users on the Main Network!

Use this website: https://htmlcolorcodes.com/color-picker/ to find the Hex code for the specific color that you want.
Use this website: https://rgb.birdflop.com/ to model different colors fades for your name!

    Color/Formatting Examples(top)

    /nick &o
    • This command will format your nickname in italics.
    /nick &m
    • This command will format your nickname with a strike-through.
    /nick <&0-9|&a-f> -or- /nick &#AAAAAA
    • This command will color your nickname anyway you want!

For example, using the command '/nick &2hello' will result in:

You can have more than one color in your nickname.
Using the command '/nick &bhello&5there' will result in:

Using /help colors in-game will display a list of applicable color codes.

    Formatting(top)

You can also combine color codes with various formatting styles for your nickname.

The following formatting styles can be used in your nickname:
    &l Bold
    &o Italic
    &m Strikethrough
    &n Underlined

The following formatting styles cannot be used in your nickname:
    &k Magic
    &r Reset

For example, using the command '/nick &e&mstrike' will result in:

You can use more than one formatting code in your nickname.
For example, using the command '/nick &b&lbold&b&oitalic' will result in:

Inserting any new color code will get rid of any previous formatting.
For example, using the command '/nick &b&lisbold&5isnot' will result in:

To prevent this, insert the formatting code again after you choose a new color code.
For example, using the command '/nick &b&lisbold&5&lstill' will result in:

    Conclusion(top)

Nicknames allow you to express your personality or creativity through your name in chat. Thus, it is encouraged that you take the time to find your perfect nickname!
