you might want to get rid of the server name.

 

The main problems I would see with this would be the lag created by the
Processes used by the hungergame plugin, and the spam of notifications received by the user, the spam can be fixed, but I'm not to sure about the lag, but if possible, I would love to see this added, it allows a whole new area for us to gain on, from selling donation features related to hungergames, from ranks within hungergames, it's a strong selling point for advertisements, and, it allows friendly competitions between our users : D, so if possible, I would love to see this added

 

+1 I remember when we tried this before with MrPublic, and it was awesome!! It did crash and burn, but that was because there was no mod oomph behind it.

 

I would love if this was added but I don't think It will be added Since This is an economy server, not a hunger games server

 

Oh, that reminds me of another option, and that is, to accutally have another server that is run by Andrew, but is still under the "ecc" name, somthing like hg.ecocitycraft.com, or ecc.hungergames.com : D, it is also possible to have money be added to your ecc balance, from winning hungergames : P

As a fan of the Hunger Games on Minecraft, I love the idea. But as a fan of EcoCityCraft, I sort of dislike the idea. The thing is though, Hunger Games / Survival Games are the #1 hit for Minecraft servers out there, not if we somehow mixed the economy in with the Hunger Games type style of server, that would be amazing, and our numbers on the server would sky rocket. Hence PvP is such a big deal. At the same time, we recently just updated to a 30,000x30,000 world, with such a large plugin as Hunger Games plugins, this wont clash well with the 30,000x30,000 world (Lag).

 

Good point. But, depending on how much focus is put towards it, we would easily hit 300 players. Maybe we could somehow integrate the economy into it? If it even happens.

When you win the games, the first, second, and third winners get EcoDollars for winning. Also, people could place bets on the outcome. (That part wouldn't actually be part of the plug-in, but it would still help integrate the economy :D)

 

Mhm, it is possible to make it so that every kill gives a set Ammount of money, and a win can give even more

 

Maybe have an entrance fee, and the pot is split according to your ranking. That way, more money isn't put into the server. Or, maybe the only money put in is when you kill someone, like you said.

It couldn't be that big. Like maybe 500 each time. That way, you can play a lot and it could still be worth your while.

Like if 24 people played, and 500 each, that's 12000. If each kill is 100-150, that's 2300-3450, because there can only be 23 deaths. The rest can be split up to the top third, by percentages of something like 70%, 25%, and 5%. (5985-6790, 2138-2425, and 428-485, as rough estimates.) However, the plug-in would have to be programmed so that if a player dies from natural causes, the person that damaged the player most gets money. This would make it more realistic, but is not essential if it could just be made that no one gets the money.

 

Iv'e heard of other serves having this, and it is extremely difficult to code, that is why there are most Hunger Games Servers instead of servers with the plugin, i'm not saying they don't exist, but there is very few. I don't think it's really necessary, considering an Economy Server should be.. an Economy Server. (Omg whoulda thought right) I'm all for the idea of another server that is ECC related and pure Hunger Games.. that way I don't have to mess with it anyway :) And remember, that's just more stuff for Andrew to have to keep up with and pay for mind you. But hey, one man's opinion.

 

I reject your reality and substitute my own. :D Just kidding, I think you bring up a good point. Andrew does have a lot of stuff to do. However, if even he is behind this cause (not 100% sure)...

...But if he wants this to happen, then I think he would be willing to take different people's suggestions and put them together. I like your idea of the extra server for just Hunger Games, but I still really like the idea of integrating the economy, and I'm not sure if it would be possible to automatically be given the money you win if it's on another server. I might know enough to say this for sure, but I'm thinking that Andrew would have to give each person the money they deserved each time, cutting down on the number of times Andrew would want to do the Games each time frame (less each week, or each month.) Where as if it was all automated, then Andrew would be able to set it up, let it run, and more or less forget about it.
