Well, all I can say is that it gets annoying when u get a ton of crates opening with like 20 notifications in chat, especially when ur trying to mine... (shout out to Jdawg and jade) If there is a command to disable the messages from my side (just like /lot message) then that would be amazing. Thanks
Yeah I hear u. That could be annoying (especially if you buy 20 to use). Here are some other options if not that: -Only do the message when an item is obtained (not the “Jdawger is opening a crate”) -Make it where it needs a minute to refresh before opening it again -Update spam rules
Im actually fine with seeing the messages, it lets players see what items are being received and what isnt. Due to the crates being released yesterday, there is a lot of hype for them, but it should die down eventually. Plus, if we can see that a player who has 20 crates and is getting repeated items, it discourages both the player and others from buying them as you know the probability:cost ratio is horrible. So i think its fine as it is right now.
Exactly... once it dies down, do you really want to be forced to see those messages? I think it's fair for the player to have the option to disable the messages.
Honestly I think they should be fine BUT limited to star crates at this time (nothing else is really worth any money)
+1 But andrewkm said 'I am not having him [Jamie] waste his time on that [the command]' So basically erm, its not happening as much as I want it to.
The hype did in fact increase the messages but this will die down. I do agree with @Nicit6 's opinion. Limit to only Star Crates, as those are the ones people mostly care about seeing in chat since they're curious who gets what. I have now disabled Mojang Crates / Egg Crate messages. Star Crate messages remain.
