Every time the ExtCommand donators use their repair command it would prevent the person to have to use diamonds to find more diamonds. By doing this the tools in the world are staying at the same number but as people find diamonds they have little to no use for them.
My idea is to take the same amount of diamonds that it took to make the tool and add it as a requirement to repair it. This will increase the demand and price for diamonds.

No. Users that bought Ext commands/Ext commands + have already paid $30/$70 to be able to use the commands. I don't think that users should be charged more to use the feature that they have already bought.

Yes but I think that you and I both know that those donation features are making it go through the toilet.
Also they would still be able to repair and do the other things that the feature came with. -

And also I'd bet that you are probably one of the people who have paid for the donation feature and is just unwilling to take a sacrifice for the greater good of the server.

The only reasons that they have decreased the value on their spawn shops is because there is so much of a supply. The primary reason being the donation feature.

All that I was trying to say is that andrew has been trying to even out the economy. Obviously farming has been the priority source of income for most players so he has decreased the value of crops. I was saying that hour per hour mining makes nothing close to what farming does and a way to change that would be to increase the need for diamonds and offered a way to do it.

People needing diamonds doesn't mean the price will necessary go up.
I agree with everything Da_Tirtow has said. $30-$100 USD is quite a big amount of money, and people who donated for it deserve to keep their rights.

The more diamonds that are being consumed will DIRECTLY affect the cost of them. Anyone that disagrees needs to take an economics class. The law of supply and demand is affected in video games too. Not just real life.

You have the right kind of idea -- we need ways to remove diamonds from the game or a way to increase their demand. I think there are better ways to do it than this, though.

Go post them then.

-1 i have donated for myself a few times on this server and each time i make sure i get what it says, and it says that you can get enchanted repairs with no further cost that one time of donating. Now i do feel we need to get rid of diamonds but i think we can do it in better ways, for example if we want to raise the price of diamonds get a group of people to start raising them and buy all the cheaper diamonds it has been done before and rose the price a bit, I do not aprove of this because there are also people who do not enjoy mining so they decide not to go mining but also dont have the money to buy diamodns from shops. so No.

Buying out the diamonds wouldn't help because nobody would buy them from you, they would go find their own diamonds. Nobody would simply be able to buy out every single diamond. Sorry but that was a poor example as it would be to difficult to do.
I think it is ironic that the people that disagree both have donated for the feature... Kinda ironic... -

I posted a poll if you think that doing this will increase the value of diamonds here: http://www.ecocitycraft.com/forum/threads/a-way-to-increase-value-of-diamonds-poll.31879/

Pumpkin Farming:
On a 200x16 9 level pumpkin farm using an Efficiency 5 Unbreaking 3 Fortune 2 diamond axe and fly speed 4.
After spending an hour farming I earned $9783.00.
I know other users can make more money in an hour pumpkin farming, but those users all probably have Efficiency 5 axes, fly and 200x200 pumpkin farms. Newer players most likely aren't going to have all of those.
Melon Farming:
On a 32x32 8 level melon farm using an Efficiency 5 Unbreaking 3 Silk Touch 1 diamond pickaxe.
After spending an hour farming I earned $10,326.
This again, requires higher level enchanted tools to be most profitable.
Mining:
In an untouched area of the newly generated land using an Efficiency 5 Fortune 3 diamond pickaxe.
After spending an hour mining I earned $12,262.20.
Broken down:
1949 cobblestone sold at $0.05 each for a total of $150.85.
183 flint sold at $0.05 each for a total of $9.15.
242 dirt sold at $0.05 each for a total of $12.10.
568 coal sold at $0.40 each for a total of $227.20.
358 lapis sold at $4.00 each for a total of $1432.00.
159 iron sold at $7.50 each for a total of $1192.50.
39 gold sold at $10.00 each for a total of $390.00.
1668 redstone sold at $2.50 each for a total of $4170.00.
1645 exp 825 of which sold for $1500.00 and 813 of which sold for $1.80 each for a total of $2963.40.00.
69 diamonds sold at $25.00 each in the market place for a total of $1725.00.
From my results, mining made the most money in one hour, however pumpkin and melon farming were not far off. -

"69 diamonds"
So you are saying you managed to find more than a diamond per minute? hm.... something has xray written all over it. I'll have to ask a mod to look into that.
