If we were a brand new server with almost nothing set up, I guess we might do this. But since we already have a perfectly fine system, why change it? ECC has had the same law system for over 3+ years (I think.) Sorry, but -1.

Too bad this isn't the American Judicial Branch and the server owner lives in Canada... That's too bad...

I wish this would work, but, it won't. Only moderators can decide the verdict/fate of another user accused of a crime.

I think a 17-4 vote against this pretty much sums up everyone's opinion on this idea.

Sure, because the jury system works so well in America. It's not like people who don't know what they're doing won't be able to judge the situation well or something.

I think anyone who lives in the united states can understand where I'm coming from and how I got this idea. I never said the mods didn't do a good job, but rather opened up the possibility.

yes but the united states judicial branch takes a while to process cases. It would still as people said would take to long to setup.

This is not a murder investigation. Its a user complaint or a ban appeal

This idea is not really practical for ECC. In real life a jury doesn't know the defendant, whereas I imagine that it would be near impossible to put together a group of 7-10 people on ECC in which no one knows the accused. A jury is also randomly selected so this would require a huge effort to actually do.

I could go into a lot more detail why this wouldn't work on ECC, but ultimately it is just something which wouldn't transfer from real life to a minecraft server. Not to mention, the staff team do fine as it is and lets be honest, we don't really need a jury to decide if someone is guilty or not of swearing.

This is not something which we will be implementing.
