Why give it back? You won it fair and square... Being nice is not giving people's items back in pvp or giving lotto money back...being nice is...just being nice...if you win it in lotto or get it in pvp it's fair and square.

Then again, you could've given it back for a good reason, I sure hope you did :p

Actually it is kind. Even though it is rightfully yours, 5 seconds ago it wasn't and returning it makes the person who lost it feel a whole lot better.

 

Not to sound like a jerk or anything...but...
nobody should feel better for having an item returned to them. At least not in the way you're implying. They lost it fair and square in a bet, they don't deserve to have it. Someone giving it to them for free essentially makes the group who won the bet "lose" something they could have had, and the other group gains nothing from the whole thing. It kind of sucks actually...

In another perspective - someone loses 300k in a lottery, asks for it back, and you give it to them: What do you think they will do with said money? More than likely, they are going to put it back into lottery, make more money, put that money into the lottery...eventually, they will end up having 1 mil and lose it all in the lottery, and they'll feel worse. Winning the lottery is a curse - because losing the lottery feels even worse than winning it makes you feel better.


On top of all that, it's true really - giving stuff back that you earned fair and square, while it can be a "good deed", it's one that costs you. Instead, you can just be a overall nice person anyways, like me...I've never once given back an item, but I still have nobody hating me for taking their money in lottery from when I used to play, because I'm not a jerk to them about it...they would have kept it from you, too, if they won, they shouldn't complain if you keep it from them. There are other, cheaper ways of being "nice".

Radar Bros
It's a MiniMap that helps look for players/dropped items/mobs. It's especially useful for finding spawners and Mining World PvP.

The one on his left is Radar Bros. The one on his right looks like the minimap that comes with the CJB ModPack.
