@scottyang1323 I know how to do this but cannot explain it well. I hope a Mod or another user can help you out with this, so sorry I couldn't help you out. :
Windows/Linux Instructions: 1) Locate your minecraft.jar file. On Windows, it's in %APPDATA%/.minecraft/bin 2) Create a backup of minecraft.jar 3) Open minecraft.jar in an archive editor (WinRar/7-Zip/etc) 4) Delete the META-INF folder. 5) Copy (drag and drop) the .class files from the downloaded zip file into the jar file, replacing previous files. 6) Run Minecraft and test!
Thank you to evertone who ateempted to help me I have resolved the problem myself There was one file that wasnt meant to go in that went in Thank you all for for trying to help
Why dont you delete the bin folder by start>run>%appdata%>.minecraft>bin this will basically clear out your minecraft. Then re-download minecraft. Then re-download optifine, then test it out...
Update your video card drivers. Try using force update or entierly reinstalling and try to update java. That normally fixes these types of issues.
okay download a thing called Magic Launcher, search %appdata% in file browser and delete the .minecraft folder after taking out the Saves file, next launch Magic Launcher and click setup and select the Optifine file from where it downloaded to, use the optifine.zip (probably in your downloads folder) if you still are having problems PM me your skype name and I will use screenshare to walk you through it.
I have optifine and have no problems... So I don't know what to say here. If I were you, I'd go through all your options in optifine and set them back to default (If you remember what default was.) then try it (Also, try changing the ones that only effect single player first.) If that fails, I'd try reinstalling the mod and try it without changing anything. Keep changing the options while in game until you crash and then you have the culprit. If none of that works, then I don't know what to tell you. I can't think of anything else that would be causing it for multiplayer only. Edit: lol, this is a first. I didn't notice the second page. :|
Hey I had the same problem with optifine before, I corrected it with the follwing steps, First you delete your .bin and update once there nothing but regular minecraft you go look around for an "UPDATED" Version of optifine if it still doesnt work Ill send my .bin over with optifine installed on it to you. If that doesnt work theres a bug or gltich with optifine but I cant see that because it also works for me! If you need further help please PM me! If this does work Im still wondering whoever fixes the problem still gets 10K right?!
I installed Optifine today and it's working on this server. I installed the standard version. There are a couple of different versions so I would start with the standard and try the other ones later. I have two mods installed XP chest and TMI both of which don't work on the server. I don't have mod-loader installed. So I would try starting with a blank Minecraft.jar and start by installing the standard Optifine. Make sure it's up to date. Hope this helped. @scottyang1323
its easy. Since you prob didnt delete the mete file, go to %appdata% bin, the minecraft and delete everything and reinstallit. if u want ur files drag them on to the pc homepage.
Try a different version of optifine. When I had tested out optifine, one version (I forgot which) seemed to work well with multiplayer, whilst the others will crash it. Try downloading more than one version and installing them all to test them out. Also, he definitely deleted the META-INF file, as he can go on single player with optifine.
Sounds like just a slow computer to me, I have the same problem on my old computer which gets like 1 FPS and has vista. If possible can you state your hardware, softwaee
