I disagree with this suggestion.

Not really more than one reason, but it would defeat the purpose of buying the donation. Many people only need to set 2 or 3 homes, so they won't need to spend the money on the donation.

 

Still, I believe if someone wants another home, $15 is worth the time you waste. If you are not inclined to spend real money, there is always the option to pay with EcoDollars, leaving it available to every player.

 

Because of the MultiHome donation feature, I highly doubt more homes per rank will be implemented. The only "hope" for more homes without MultiHomes would be if /home bed comes back. However, I believe Andrew took out /home bed due to issues.

 

lets say somebody wants 3 homes. They would have to get resident and mayor to get 3 homes. Thats about 100k. If you buy from the right person multihome (which gives you 5 homes) is only about 75k. If you can get 2 more homes for cheaper, and get a nice fancy [$] next to your name, why not just buy multihome?

Although a refund would be nice, it's stated in the wiki that there are ZERO refunds. But, I do see where you are coming from and the conflicts it would cause.

in some cases andrew will give users gift cards so that they can buy other donations. However I have only see him do this twice and I doubt he would do this with one of the more popular donations.

I dont know of anyone who sells donations for 3k ecd. If someone is out there please let me know so I can buy from them.

5-6k is generally the price range for donations.

 

dakotakim, you need to buy your first feature from him at 6k/USD, then your second feature at 4k/USD then, you get 3k/USD.

 

When getting Mayor+ you could easily just buy Multihome instead..

 

I would not be opposed to users getting 2 /home's, since that is how it used to be with /home bed, but any more than that should only be obtained from the MultiHome feature. A second home would be useful for builders trying to mine in the mining world while keeping their stuff in a plot in a town in one of the main worlds.

 

-1 this will take away money for donations. I don't think this will help the server just take more money away. But this is just my personal opinion on it
