From my very limited knowledge, I believe it's illegal to share your .jar with anyone.

 

this may be a dead thread and i just stumbled upon it but it isnt illegal because you need the rest of the files to even get the game to work notch said you can distribute the game in a non-executable setting so u would need the rest of the files this will help for a 1.3 error :D

 

Find someone who has the 1.7 jar online then paste it to the Minecraft jar then BAM you have 1.7 again :D be sure to back your worlds up so you don`t mess anything up
