Well i did a little looking in to it. I found out that your not the only one experiencing this issue and lots of other people don't know what to do I've heard this may work but i think u already tried this, 1. Log in to www.minecraft.net with your Minecraft info and change your password, and after a few minutes, try logging in to the launcher again. I have also heard that this will probably mess with things, 1. Your account is not premium; 2. You have a cracked version of Minecraft; 3. Incorrect username and/or password. Not sure if any of that helped but it may.
well i remember buying my account also i am just downloading it straight of the mojang website and i know my password is correct because i can still login in to the 1.5.2 launcher
I also run on Mac so I hopefully will help. You open your 1.5.2 launcher Click on the "Here" on the launcher and that will direct you to Mojang for the download. Make sure you are using the .jar not the .exe. This might be your problem. Drag the icon into your desktop Open the icon Say open when a bubble comes up Drag the minecraft icon into your applications folder. THere will be a bubble there saying to do that. Open minecraft. Log in and play ECC! I think your problem is you downloaded the .exe file rather the .jar file. I hope this helped
I believe you still need to update as in the picture, it states "Status: Will be installed" That could be a possible problem
