    Well, we all seen the doc in google docs, concerning changes in 1.3.1.
    A question arises - will players of ECC be able to gain exp through mining? As the following lines were marked green:


    Improved experience collection
    Depending on ore type, experience now drops from ores that drop items.Taking smelted items out of furnaces gives experience now. Destroying mob spawners gives experience now. Test all of the above for duplication methods. Experience will likely stay and be awarded from above methods.

    Gameadms, what is your prognosis?

    Yes. We get exp from mining. But only the ones that drop items. Not the ones that drop ore blocks (Gold, iron, silk touch pick on ore)
    So this means you get exp from coal, lapis, redstone, diamonds, and emeralds

    i can only think of one way to get free ore blocks to smelt for exp and thats through mcmmo.
