well i mean he did a job for u and ur not paying him. he even chipped in his own money for materials which is something he should not have had to do.

I totally agree that he shouldn't have bought mats. At the same time I never asked him to. In addition he didn't do the job that is the whole problem. Anyways I hope in the future we can still do buisness

How do you expect him to complete a job when you didn't pay him the full amount stated in the contract? Unless you never intended to pay that amount, which is pretty much scamming in my book.

Nicit I payed him the full amount. While it may not have been enough, coming to me a week before it is due and saying he needs tons more stuff isn't fair to me

FYI how do you expect me to building with out any money or materials to build with? I used up my own money hoping that it would be enough to finish the job, because if I didnt finish it bye the due date I loose 10k and all the time I spent working on it

How do I build without materials? You try it yourself, have your inv empty and then build a mansion without any building blocks

Just because he agreed to something doesn't mean he has to do what he PHYSICALLY CANNOT DO. Are you daft? Just provide him the damn materials, let him finish the build and everything will be done without a problem. But nooo, let's moan and complain instead!

I provided 120k in mats + money for mats. Then builds uses it all up in 20% or so of the build area. Do you mean to tell me that with 80k more he could have finished?

Probably. I helped him build it, and I would have preserved it if I kept building.

Okay here is my argument:
Builds valued doing the prebuilts at 150k and the skyscraper at 70k
He has 15 prebuilts started, 13 done, lets just go with 15 for arguments sake.

Again, for arguments sake lets pretend they are an average of 23x23 (20x20 with a 3 block border on all sides)
The paths in this town take up about 4000 blocks (less, but again for arguments sake)
Walls take up 800
The skyscraper is lets say 4 20x20 areas (less, but again for arguments sake) not including areas over a path

Total space taken up by things already built (As in non pre-builts fill-able area) in blocks is aprox.
4000 + 800 + (4 x 20 x 20)
~6400 blocks

40000-6400 = 33600

33600/(23x23) = 63.5

round down to 60 (it wont perfectly fit)

15/60 = .25
or
25% completed

25% of 150k = 37500

therefore I believe buildsbygideon is owed 37,500 NOT 110k

all numbers used were in the favor of him (most prebuilts are smaller and very few are bigger, 63.5 was rounded down, sky scraper was larger than reality)

We have all been there and seen what he is accomplished. You'll come off a lot better if you stop trying to justify paying him less than 40k for all that.

Not sure if you read it but @ClarinetPhoenix already, said that 110k is a reasonable amount for the work I already did, she even went out there and judged it herself and she told me that was a reasonable amount
