To bring a purpose to profile posts. It allows the forum users to be more interactive and use the feature more.
It is not here to be abused.

Well the shoutbox only holds a certain amount of messages. And the user may not be in game. Before this block was added, profile posts where meaningless, and didnt show up anywhere except the users profile. Now, however, they can be viewed by all from the forum list, and home page.

And i got your point. spamming it wouldn't really work after all, I'd either end up banned/warned, or that it would only save the last statue
