We just changed the ENTIRE backend software that EcoCityCraft runs on (meaning no more base Spigot). A BIG & custom change, one that players should not notice however.

Basically, please watch for weirdness with Minecraft mechanics / etc that wasn't happening before and please report via https://ecocitycraft.com/help if you find something.
We are going to automate what we allow / don't allow on EcoCityCraft in regards to red stone clocks, as they cause quite the lag on Minecraft servers. Several other SkyBlock communities ban clocks outright, however we will try to be a little lenient.

In regards to red stone clocks, we will allow a maximum of 500 signals per second.

This below is a 10 second example of the current running red stone clocks and their signal output as of this post on our SkyBlock server:

Out of the 14 clocks above, 4 would be above our limit and will be automatically disabled.
We will not be deleting your red stone and replacing it with signs as other servers do (unless of course the method we chose doesn't work and a bypass is found). Instead we will simply automate the deletion of your red stone, wait for the clock to lose it's power, and have it replaced.

Attention all supporters of EcoCityCraft,

The in game two factor authentication command that we offer, /2fa, has slightly changed. You will no longer need to make a seperate /2fa account for each server. They are now linked network wide. Simply make a new one and it will now work globally.

This will make switching servers and hopping around much easier.

We recently changed some internal name data in regards to challenges.
(Example, renaming the Icy Companion challenge from "frosty" to "icycompanion" on the configuration side.)

Due to this, your challenges menu may look "broken" in rare circumstances.

To fix this, simply look through all the challenges once more and find what you are missing.
It is likely you will have to repeat one of the very early challenges again. After doing so your challenges menu will go back to normal and the issues will be resolved.

Got a few SkyBlock and ECC Network updates for you guys.
  • Due to our complete permissions system rewrite, which we've been doing for the past 1-2 weeks (about 85% done), we've decided to completely scratch the following from our entire network as it is simply near impossible to achieve previous functionality. It would require very horrible implementation which could potentially break at any moment causing serious issues (again, this is due to our new permissions setup).
    • Custom tags.
    • /ctag /stag /dtag commands.
    • /setctag /setdtag commands.
    It simply made no sense keeping these features thus they are gone.
  • We've launched our new ECC core code base on the development side of things, which will allow us to push fixes/changes network wide 10x faster than before. All a great move towards the future on the internal side of ECC.
Now, let's get to the fun stuff. :D
  • Supporter chat tags have now been implemented network wide [$] [$$] [$$$] etc. The entire system has been rewritten by @JamieSinn and now works everywhere (including /myfeatures). Keep in mind your tag will reflect the money spent on the server you are connected to at the time.
  • Chest shops no longer clear on your islands to prevent hassle recreating them when players buy your stock out. They now only clear at /warp market.
  • All mob entity limits have been removed. You are now free to breed and automate as many mob farms as you like! Limit free!
  • Mob stacking has been introduced to combat the severe lag and performance hits servers take from massive amounts of spawned animals/monsters. On ECC, mobs will stack once there are 5 of the same type near each other, and will do so up to a maximum of 100 per stack, at which point a new stack will be introduced.

With the help of our BuyCraft enterprise account & their team of developers, we have imported every single rank for every single AEM user straight from the AEM internal BuyCraft database.

This means, if you used BuyCraft to get absolutely any AEM SkyBlock rank, it has now been transferred to ECC. You don't need to log in, you don't need to message us, there are no special instructions, it is now imported into our database and live on the server.

If you, or anyone you know is missing a rank (from AEM) let them know we've finally sorted everything out.

PS: Sorry it took us a while, migrating such massive amounts of data from different servers and completely different systems is not something we do often. :p (First time actually as we've always just been ECC.)
