A quick news post to inform users on the recent down times this month of September.
The quick and very simplified version is this,
EcoCityCraft own's two machines:
- Web machine.
- Game machine.
Our web machine hosts all our web services, including our database server.
Our game machine hosts all our minecraft gaming servers.
Our game machine communicates with out web machine so that it can get information from the database server. (The database server has over 15 databases that the game server absolutely requires to function, such as logblock information, and all your LWC locks.)
Recently however, our web machine has been randomly crashing, an issue we are still investigating. Due to this, when the web machine has gone down, so have our gaming servers as they communicated with the web machine to access database information.
I am still investigating the web machine issue and am making progress regarding the cause of the troubles it's been having, which all started when we migrated from an old setup to a new one.
HOWEVER, just yesterday, I've made one very important change. I have moved all of our databases from the web machine to the game machine. This now means that the gaming servers no longer have to rely on accessing the web machine to stay online. When our web machine goes down due to ongoing issues, (something as mentioned I am still working on), this will not in any way affect the gaming servers any longer. (Other than not being able to communicate with the forum bank during the web machine investigations of course).
And, that's basically what's been going on. While the issues with the web machine continue to be investigated, you will no longer experience any downtime playing Minecraft due to it
.

Our servers are as such:

If you encounter errors while on the 1.12.2 client, we will recommend you join using 1.13.2 before taking any of your bug reports under consideration.

So the fine folks at BuyCraft have finished up a custom project for our webstore (https://shop.ecocitycraft.com). We are the first store to receive this feature and as such are launching it immediately to help beta test it before public launch towards other server stores worldwide.
Introducing player referrals!
You are now able to refer users to our store and receive rewards for doing so.
Each sale we run will have different referral settings!
Current referral settings:
- Basket must be at least $100.
- Referrer must be an account that has spent at least $100 on our store through it's history.
- Referrer will automatically receive a $25,000 EcoDollar pre-ordered grant added to their Main City Server account.
Once your basket qualifies for a referral addition you will see this option:

Due to 1.13.1 and it's heavy item name changes code named "the flattening" we have been forced to completely wipe and reset the VMR Booklet. Everyone who has earned the medal for the booklet will keep it of course, however there is absolutely no way to preserve any of the data prior to 1.13.1.
Rest assured, during future updates (1.14.x +) these resets won't be necessary. This is a one time thing due to Mojang changing the entire item / block system internally, something they've been planning for several years now.
Due to this reset, we are changing the requirement for achieved status, and lowering it from 10,000 items to just 1,000 items - It is far more realistic this way.
As well, for all those who bought VMR crates for rare items via our store, we will be regenerating everyone's packages, meaning you will have access to all VMR crate keys you've purchased in the past, and will be able to use them once again!

The Mega Machine at the starcasino has increased key prizes from 5 -> 10.
Meaning if you hit the spawner key, you get 10 spawner keys!
As well:
Monthly Casino Packs have increased Mega Tokens from 10 -> 15!
I have taken the below from a previous news post, and updated it a little to give everyone an idea as to where we are and how plans may or may not have shifted with EcoCityCraft:

1. Wait for Mojang to update to 1.13.1 (DONE)
2. Wait for Spigot to update to 1.13.1 (DONE)
3. Examine 1.13.1 and determine if a wait for 1.13.2 is required. (DONE)
4. If 1.13.1 is good to go, update our plugins to 1.13.1 (DONE).
5. If 1.13.1 is good to go, wait for external plugins to update to 1.13.1 (DONE).
6. Examine updated 1.13.1 plugins. (DONE).
7. Test 1.13.1 plugins (DONE).
8. Launch 1.13.1 across our servers (DONE).
