It is now possible to connect to ECC with 1.14.4 on your Minecraft client.

However, we still recommend that you use 1.13.2 when connecting to Main/VMR and 1.12.2 when connecting to Skyblock. This compatibility update is primarily for new players who are looking for servers on their 1.14.4 clients.

You are free to report any bugs that come with running 1.14.4 at https://ecocitycraft.com/help. However, the issues will most likely be already known/reported and we, again, advise you to use 1.13.2 if you want to avoid such issues.

This is not a server update to 1.14.4! This thread/update only pertains to your ability to connect to ECC with a 1.14.4 client. New features (ie blocks, mechanics, etc.) that come with 1.14.4 (or 1.14 for the matter) are not impacted by this update.
We are once again accepting applications for the Staff team. This is an opportunity to take on a more responsible role and get more involved in helping EcoCityCraft thrive and grow! :)

As always, make sure to read the basic requirements and that you meet them before you apply.
Staff Application Guidelines

We look forward to reading your application.

Good luck to everyone!
It has been nearly a year since /sell hand on Main was disabled and our intentions to reset were announced and well over 6 months since the reset itself. With the reset, many things, such as towns, tools and money were lost as users had to start from scratch and build their way back up again on the new main. However, loans, albeit at a steep, 90% discount, passed onto main nevertheless. But that's about to change.

As of this post, any and all debts that were incurred on the main economy/towns server before the reset (October 27th, 2018), are null and void. These will not be enforced by the staff team, regardless of size or circumstance. Any and all users who are currently banned for breach of contract/scamming pre-reset will not be required to pay any compensation upon being unbanned. Simply put, in terms of debts, everyone is now on a clean slate from Archive.

Why are you doing this?
This new policy was devised in context of the fact that we've been running for nearly a decade now, and as an economy server, there have been literally hundreds of thousands if not millions of different transactions undertaken. It simply isn't reasonable to expect users to have that good of a memory to have precise recollections of the details transactions undertaken years ago, let alone relevant evidence from that period. If you'd ask me about some loan I took out in 2015, of course I wouldn't remember - It's been nearly half a decade ago!

We could also, alternatively, have administrators do a logdive for each and every transaction. But that's impossible. We have lives, believe it or not, and undertaking such a tremendous task would basically bring administration to a standstill. No more time for staff management, tool searches, etc. - All the work we do is now chasing down various 2013 transactions. It'd be insane.

Will debts be reset again?
Ask me again in 2030.

Seriously though, we have absolutely NO...
And yet another major change making its way on ECC! Builders who sign up on the forums and submit an application on the thread below can earn $7,500 EcoDollars on the Main Server!

Read more at https://tinyurl.com/ECCStartBonus.

PS: There will always be certain users who bring nothing of value to the community and attempt to cheat the system as an "easy" way to get ahead. This won't be tolerated. Anyone caught abusing our generosity with this bonus will be 100% PermaBanned from EcoCityCraft and its services with their account wiped and assets seized. Play the game legitimately. It's more fun for everyone that way. :)
Hey there!

I'm happy to announce many major economy changes that have been implemented on ECC. These include substantial buffs to pumpkins and melons in addition to an over 100% increase in fish prices. And that's not all either! The rest of the changes you'll have to find out yourself ingame. :p

Mind that this is an unusual announcement for us to be making and in most cases there won't be any announcement at all. But for the sake of transparency we've decided it'd be best to inform the community of these major changes (and more ones coming!).

On the topic of fishing: I've revamped appeal guidelines for AutoFishing offenses due to the fact that we'll undoubtedly see a surge in players attempting to cheat in context of this recent fishing price buff. First time offenders are looking at being tempbanned for a month upon appeal. Repeat offenders will have to purchase an unban from https://shop.ecocitycraft.com/. This is all in addition to a mandatory account wipe - valuables will be seized, balances will be cleared and McMMO stats will be reset.

TL;DR? Don't waste your time or mine by autofishing. It's not worth it.

Think you have a good price change idea? We'd be happy to hear it on our suggestions forum.

That's all!

Happy fishing/farming guys. <3
Hey guys!

We've changed up a few things rules-related, primarily for the Network rules and Skyblock rules and I thought it'd be helpful to make a thread about it to explain these changes, why they were made and more!

As always, you can read the new rules for yourself here.

The Skyblock rules have been removed, but automation guidelines still have their own page that's linked to via the Network rules.

But without further ado:

What was changed about the rules?
Not much has been changed in terms of actual content. The same general rules/expectations still apply and if you're already well-versed with ECC and its rules, then there's not much point in reading these new rules, aside from sheer interest and staying up to date with what's going on in ECC. Instead, we're simply restating network rules and expectations, but in far less words.

So why did you change it?
The old Network rules that new players were linked to when they did /rules were a mess. They had all the complexities of a legal document that tried to literally cover every single possible situation. This is totally unnecessary for a user who joins ECC and wants to get a general idea of what's allowed and not. They want to spend their time playing the game as opposed to reading overly complex rules that most other servers can sum up in a 1/10th of the length.
But I liked the complex rules! I love the details and want to get more than the basics!
They're still around! Links to the full, detailed Network Server rules are on the Wiki and the simplified Network rules (linked above) page itself. Just scroll down to "Still Interested? Read more!" on the rules or click on the Network rules link on any of the pages in the rules section.

Wait..... these rules seem...
EcoCityCraft is getting hyped up for what may be our busiest summer season in years! With the influx of new players and so many exciting things going on we are definitely looking for some extra help on the Staff team!

The EcoCityCraft Staff team is an opportunity for you to give back to the server by spending your time and energy contributing to the community and helping EcoCityCraft grow and thrive! We always appreciate the time and effort put in by our current and retired Staff members doing just that. :)

On that note I would like to announce that Staff applications are now open! Please apply if you are interested in helping out.
Don't forget to read the basic requirements and the application rules before you apply!

We look forward to reading your application.
Good Luck!
It is now possible to connect to ECC with 1.14.1 on your Minecraft client.

However, we still recommend that you use 1.13.2 when connecting to Main/VMR and 1.12.2 when connecting to Skyblock. This compatibility update is primarily for new players who are looking for servers on their 1.14.1 clients.

You are free to report any bugs that come with running 1.14.1 at https://ecocitycraft.com/help. However, the issues will most likely be already known/reported and we, again, advise you to use 1.13.2 if you want to avoid such issues.

This is not a server update to 1.14.1! This thread/update only pertains to your ability to connect to ECC with a 1.14.1 client. New features (ie blocks, mechanics, etc.) that come with 1.14.1 (or 1.14 for the matter) are not impacted by this update.
We would like to remind everyone that you should be connecting to EcoCityCraft's game servers with a 1.14, 1.13.2 client or any other supported version. EcoCityCraft is *NOT* currently compatible with 1.14.1 clients.

In addition to this reminder I would like to announce that I have written up a wiki page providing information about which client versions you should be using to connect.
EcoCityCraft and Minecraft Updates
Refer to this wiki page to be aware which client versions will connect to the specific servers as well as which client versions will offer the most optimal gameplay on that server. You will also find information on how to downgrade your client or create new profiles for other versions on this page as well.
Hello again! Staff applications are now open.

As always if you feel you meet the standards and can maintain them, feel free to apply.
