We are happy to report that EcoCityCraft's ShopDB is now out of beta and working great!

What is ShopDB?
Did you ever want to purchase or sell an item but didn't know where to look? Or had no idea who was offering the best price? ShopDB is a tool that solves that and more. With its user-friendly interface, ShopDB allows you to:

• Search for items to buy or sell across many shops. Stock counter is included, so you'll know if the shop is in stock. There are many tools you can use to narrow it down to what you want, including sorting by price, server and more.
• Get a breakdown of all regions and see which shops or towns you can explore next.
  
• Find each player who owns a town, or a shop sign, and see their last /seen time.
  
• See who owns a town and where it is, as well as any relevant chestshops there.

How does it work?
ShopDB uses a bot named Dugly that sweeps the server every day to update the data. Here's the schedule (EST):
2:00 AM - New regions are added and mayors of regions are updated.
4:00 AM - Chestshops are updated.
6:00 AM - Player seen times are updated.
8:00 AM -12:00 AM - Chest shops are updated every 2 hours.

How do I get my shop added for updates?
You can apply here. A /warp location is required, as the bot needs to be able to get to the shop in the first place!

Over the last few months we have been listening to all your feedback and suggestions about the economy, Star Tools, ECC and Magic Tools. After much thought and calculation we are happy to announce a new and exciting chapter in the economy of EcoCityCraft! Starting today you will now be able to purchase God Drops (thus ECC & Magic tools) DIRECTLY from /warp starshop at a cost of 1,500 Netherstars!

Of course, purchasing these God Drops is a risk, you could always win a tool that you currently own or do not want, but this adds the incentive of selling these tools to others.

Our goal by doing this is to ultimately create a new layer of tools within the economy and help level the playing field for all our users. For years we have had only 2 layers, consisting of Max Tools, then Star Tools. The price difference between these layers was HUGE and Star Tools were hard to get for the casual player.

Making these tools more accessible to everyone will help reduce the money that is needed to acquire each level of tools within our economy, instead of 2 layers, we will now have an awesome 4 layers! Basically, we want ECC Tools to be the new Star Tools and Magic tools to be a bonus on top of that!

We truly believe that this is the right step for the future of ECC. We want all tools to be accessible to as many people as possible. As mentioned in an earlier post we have removed the God Key bonus of getting $100 USD worth of features on the store as well as the God Key. This was to combat the massive amounts of EXP entering the economy. We have also temporarily enabled the use of Gift Cards to purchase God Drops from the ECC Store. Doing this will help liquidate the Gift Card market and make all these tools even more accessible to the users who are sitting on a few Gift Cards but cannot decide which feature to get.

It is now possible to connect to ECC with 1.16.2 on your Minecraft client.

However, we still recommend that you use 1.15.2 when connecting to Main, MainNorth, SG & VMR and 1.12.2 when connecting to Skyblock & Archive. This compatibility update is primarily for new players who are looking for servers on their 1.16.2 clients.

You are free to report any bugs that come with running 1.16.2 at https://ecocitycraft.com/help. However, the issues will most likely be already known/reported and we, again, advise you to use 1.15.2 if you want to avoid such issues.

This is not a server update to 1.16.2! This thread/update only pertains to your ability to connect to ECC with a 1.16.2 client. New features (ie blocks, mechanics, etc.) that come with 1.16+ are not impacted by this update.
