Hello fellow players, I wish to know why there are still many aspects of 1.8 missing from skyblock. I have noticed that most mobs, especially zombie pigmen still rely on their crappy 1.7 AI, instead of properly tracking their target. Item frames do not emit a redstone signal when a comparator is placed behind them as well. I have not been able to get the Depth Strider Enchantment either. Villagers are broken aswell, they don't farm, and neither 1.7 or 1.8 breeders work. We Pretty much the most annoying part, we dont have bunnies!!! I want to know why after two months after the release of 1.8, we still don't have some of the basic additions. So whats up guys?
1. We are still waiting for craftbukkit/spigot to update. They are currently testing them, so they should be ready soonish. Once they are, all those things should work. 2. There should be no bunnies anywhere on skyblock, even staff were asked to get rid of their bunnies and players that bought rabbit spawn eggs were refunded money. Which staff still has bunnies doctorwhos? As far as I knew none did.
Trubs is right, no one should have bunnies on Skyblock. And yes Spiggot and Craftbukkit testing has begun. Once all the issues are ironed out, they will be released and we can fully update. Hopefully within the month. http://www.spigotmc.org/threads/1-8-progress-check.32792/ http://www.spigotmc.org/threads/1-8-testing-begins.34636/
But how does spigot affect these things and not the others? Why would zombie pigmen AI be affected by plugins?
I bought 4 and 4 were taken from me. Dont highlight "STAFF" just because you want to bring up old stuff... Very immature.
spigot is the core server software. the part that makes the AI and many other stuff happen. as you can imagine we are not using the regular official 1.8 vanilla server (that one does not support plugins). so for 1.8 stuff to work communities like spigotMC have to "craft" their own software. since craftbukkit the core of a spigot server had some legal issues (just google DMCA craftbukkit) it took a while to resolve issues or in case of spigot to begin and finish working on a new server software. hope this cleared things up. as you can see from the links meg posted we might have a fully working 1.8 server some time around december.
as stated on the spigotMC page they say as early as november and as late as early december. but as with every announced release date it can always be later
There are many requirements such as oak doors and breading. Try throwing carrots at them, 12 per villager, because this gets them "in the mood"
