Before I start this rant I want you all to know I love aem. I don't understand the whole reset process. I'm fairly annoyed that I log into my skyblock which I easily have 100+ hours into and it's gone! I donated to this server to get some help in this but now I have nothing. It's stupid that I can't in any way get my island back I had so much. I had so many farms that took days to build and weeks to gather the spawn eggs for. I was building a 99x99 village for breeding villagers! And it's gone! All gone I just don't understand! Not to mention the fact that the new update on rules screws me on purchasing premium and nothing changes except that the perk of /nether and /end are USLESS!!
biome changes work, larger islands 280x280, full 1.8, is menu GUI updated. I believe they are working on adding new perks for those lost. I think its an improvement.
Yea it would have been nicer if end was public, and nether is for premium +. I heard that they were giving /feed to premiums, but don't trust my word as I am just a 14 year old dummy.
I know they fixed the mob spawning rate. So does this mean that iron farms work now? And are they going to add perks to premium? The least they could do is allow /nether and /end so we don't have to use the portals.
I think good perks for premiums are /feed, and a /heal (long delay). But that's a little off topic. I was in favor of the reset, but I do think they should have announced it with a 2 week warning, not one day, so others know to stop working on their island to avoid getting frustrated when all of their stuff is gone.
yea at first I was like Yay, reset! but then I realized that 2 days later, it already reset, I didn't get a chance o record mah island.
Lol I didn't have that problem. My island was so crappy, I already have an island that is better than my old one xD
Donor kits will be tweaked in the future to make up for the loss of special perks, please be patient. We reset because skyblock was over 1.5 years old and had over 220,000 files of player data, which caused a lot of lag in generating lists like /baltop and /is top and just overall file save size for the server. We also added updated challenges to fix issues such as lapis shortage. I understand this was a little unannounced for you, we apologize, but a reset was bound to happen, so it's better it reset now rather then later, because you would have put even more time into it. Think of this reset as a way to get a better planned start for your island. Make it better, make it bigger.
I agree with that last part. My island was complete crap, and after the reset happened it's been coming along good
Will extreme+ still lose hunger on our islands? I heard zRinne say that we weren't, and I'm kinda ticked because I don't have very much food...
The no hunger loss pluggin has been removed. @CycleFire are you referring to the first time in game money reward given for donating? If so, i can ask about that. Great to hear, Cade. :3
A little off topic. But I think /eat and /nick would be great. Skylord+ has /nick, but the main reason people buy skylord is for /fly, not /nick.
