Welcome to Boomtown! /warp mooshie5 (join info below) Boomtown is a town co-owned by mooshie5 and pokeball92870 and was founded in June 2016 with one difference in mind- we will not use the Towny plugin. As a result, Boomtown boasts many differences to the traditional town that (hopefully) will make you want to join! We are inspired by the traditional town setup, doing away with the economy and chunk-based setup that comes along with Towny. NO PLOTS Boomtown does not restrict you to 16x16 chunk plots. Plots are costly, small, and contain hidden plot taxes. We here at Boomtown also believe that plots restrict your creative freedom. Instead, we have done away with plots and allow citizens to freely choose their location within the town. GRIEF PROTECTION Since I co-own the town, you can bet that your building will remain safe and grief-free despite not being in claimed land. All blocks broken by rule-breakers can be rolled back using one command! I and other staff members constantly check warps and towns for grief, and Boomtown is no exception! NO MONEY? NO SETHOME? NO PROBLEM It does not cost a cent to live in Boomtown. Not even a sethome. You can easily warp to the Boomtown Hall by using /warp mooshie5. A benefit of not using Towny is that there is no Town upkeep or constant supplying of in-game money. We are here for free! STAY IN YOUR CURRENT TOWN (NON-TOWNY!) Part of Omega, AEM Empire, Sarrasic, or other existing Towny towns? No problem! You do not need to leave your current town to join Boomtown! We are open to all members, new or old, default or donor, town or townless! We openly invite people constantly! BUILD WHAT YOU WANT, WHERE YOU WANT We want to encourage collaboration and teamwork over here at Boomtown. You can build whatever you want, wherever you want! One of the ways we do this is letting you have the freedom to set up your own farms here too! Want a tree farm right next to your house? Go for it! Feel like hooking the town up with a post office? Great! Looking to set up your shop in Boomtown? Feel free to do so. As long as you are at least 5 blocks from other citizens' buildings, feel free to take a spot. What's more, if you want, you can choose a new area surrounding the town and we'll build a road over there. LOOSE RULES One of the best things about Boomtown is our loose set of rules. Boomtown is for everyone. It does not matter if you are unskilled at building, Boomtown allows for all kinds of builds. Whether it be a simple wood cube or the Eiffel Tower, Boomtown welcomes with open arms. Boomtown is a town of possibilities. What makes a town great is its citizens. We welcome everyone to Boomtown in hopes of building a great community, and maybe even the greatest and biggest town on AEM.
