For someone who has been playing for awhile, I have notice a lot of people are complaining that the snow/rain are causing them to lag alot making them not satisfied playing on skygrid. I too believe having the rain is a pain in the butt and I suggest that either ranks have the commands to clear the weather or/and we dont have any. Thanks for reading our concern :)

I always tell people who have lower end pc's to download Optifine. It's free, it auto installs into your game, and from in the game, you have more options to turn off weather effects and such to increase your framerate and reduce lag. It really helps a lot.

If you dont want to download Optifine if you turn off Particles and put everything to fast ect. Even my weak pc has a constant framerate of 45! Try that ^^

Well it's not exactly a drag and drop installation for everyone, some people such as yourself will need to tweak some settings.

In my opinion, the best solution to this is to turn off your particles in Video Settings if you decide downloading optifine is too much of a hassle.

You can Google or YouTube tutorials to instal optifine if it's your first time using a Mod as you'll need to create a Mod folder in your .minecraft folder and whatnot.
Strongly recommend you using optifine as it'll help your with your FPS and improve your game play.

If you're using high end texture packs, it may also cause some lag but not really that much.

Yeah, I've done all the required steps for optimize to work, but it's not. I'll just deal with it

What about changing your render distance? That may help.

Yeah, it helps a bit, but I'm still annoyed by the snow that forms on my island that I have to clear. It's no biggie tho.
